Today we hosted a wonderful Teddy bears picnic at Sunley Court. The garden was filled with the sound of children's giggles , followed by their squeals indoors when we went on a bear hunt!!

We all had such a lovely day 🐻

THE STAFF DRENCHING! 🪣💦

As an activity coordinator I often come up with wild ideas . Fortunately for the residents - our manager Kelly always encourages these ideas 😂

The most recent - How much fun would it be for residents if they can choose to drench one of us at Sunley by the sea .
They can pay a pound to vote for who they want to see get wet. If we get over 50 votes then they get to see us both drenched.
Our residents very much enjoyed placing votes - I was definitely coming out worse in the votes but thankfully we exceeded the 50 so Kelly and I went down together!

That water was freezing and we were soaked to the bone but we got our own back on our eager soakers with a little water pistol 😁.

Sunley by the Sea.

Last week we had a lovely seaside themed event starring Miss Balloonatron. She sang beautifully whilst creating amazing balloons displays related to the song 🎈
We had games , ice cream , sticks of rock and lots of fun.
We ended with event with a staff drenching, which was lots of fun for those watching! 😁 🪣💦

Sunley Courts gardens have always received lots of love and hard work from residents and volunteers to keep them looking so beautiful, but this year they really have had extra attention. Residents, volunteers and staff have poured their hearts into our gardens. We have planted and pruned, painted and tidied.
We decided to add some beautiful Nursery rhyme themed displays to give people even more to look at , and we think the results are fine and fabulous.
Last weekend we opened the garden gate to friends, family and the public for an open garden event, and it was a huge success. A big thank you to everyone that puts so much hard work into the gardens, and an extra thank you for all the volunteers support on the day. Without you, none of it would be possible.
