🌟 Meet Justine, Our Registered Care Manager 🌟

💙Justine was recently a runner up for the Central Region Bluebird Care Awards, she is coming up to her 3 year work anniversary with us.

She's been working in care for over 23 years, starting as a health care assistant in a residential home. Through hard work, passion and dedication, she has progressed into management and is now our Registered Care Manager.

Justine loves making a difference to all our clients, she is great at understanding their needs and tailoring care plans accordingly. She brings a wealth of knowledge, kindness and positivity to the team every day.

Outside of work, Justine loves spending quality time with her family. She has also loved horses since childhood, and before having her children, they were a huge part of her life!

What a lovely afternoon at The HUB Club at The King’s Centre in Wigston 💙

Our Bluebird Care Market Harborough & Oadby team had the pleasure of joining the HUB Club in Wigston on 2nd July 2026.

The HUB Club is a friendly and welcoming space led by NHS Social Prescriber, helping local people connect with others, enjoy activities and support their wellbeing.

The group takes place every Thursday and includes quizzes, music, bingo, and plenty of time to chat over tea and biscuits.

It was lovely to see everyone getting involved, enjoying the music, joining in with the quiz, and even taking part in some gentle dancing. There was such a warm, happy atmosphere in the room.

We also had the chance to hear some amazing stories from local people, including those who had seen The Beatles live, people who still enjoy line dancing, playing the piano, and someone who plays bowls from their wheelchair, a lovely reminder that everyone has a story worth hearing.

And of course, the famous Bluebird Care cupcakes made a reappearance! 🧁
We were delighted to treat everyone at the event to our complimentary branded cupcakes.

A big thank you to everyone at The HUB Club for making us feel so welcome.

This week we celebrated an incredible achievement, with four members of our team recognised at the Bluebird Care Regional Awards 2026.

👏 Louisa Agyekumhene – Finalist, Care Coordinator of the Year
👏 Jodie Reed – Finalist, Community Engagement Award

To have four finalists representing our office is something we're incredibly proud of, and to see Paulina bring home the Dementia Champion Award made the day even more special.

After the awards, it was only right that we celebrated together. Every nomination represents dedication, compassion and the difference our team makes to the lives of our customers every single day.

Congratulations to all of our finalists and a huge congratulations once again to Paulina on a very well-deserved win. 💙

Getting everyone together in domiciliary care is never easy, so it was fantastic to see such a great turnout at our latest team meeting. 💙

These meetings are an important opportunity to share updates, celebrate successes, learn from one another and make sure we're all moving in the same direction as one team.

A special thank you to everyone who attended, contributed to the discussions and made the afternoon such a positive and engaging session.

A huge well done to Vet, who hosted the meeting and did an excellent job keeping everyone engaged throughout.

Looking around the room, it was clear to see the passion, professionalism and commitment that makes our team so special. Every day, our care professionals make a difference to the lives of people across Market Harborough, Oadby, Rugby and Lutterworth, and we're incredibly grateful for everything they do.
