I've been a bit quiet on here lately because some things have been going on behind the scenes.
I’ve been taking some time to enjoy a break with my person, and came home with more than just memories 💍✨
We’re engaged! 🥂
Feeling very grateful, happy, and excited to begin this next chapter.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support both personally and professionally. It means more than you know.

Sitting for long periods can often leave you feeling stiff, tight, or restricted, but that doesn’t necessarily mean something is wrong or you're just getting old. More often, it’s your body adapting to being still for too long. The encouraging part is that you don’t need intense workouts or long stretching sessions to feel better. Incorporating movement throughout the day is the most effective way to help maintain comfort, mobility and overall responsiveness.
If stiffness persists or frequently returns, it may be helpful to explore potential underlying contributing factors.

✨ A friendly booking reminder ✨

With my schedule now filling up several weeks in advance, I wanted to give you all a little heads-up...

September is already filling up quickly! 📅

One of the best ways to get the most from your treatments is to stay consistent. Leaving it too late to book can mean longer gaps between appointments, which may impact the progress we've made together.

To avoid missing out on your preferred day or time, I strongly recommend booking your appointments well in advance, even if they feel a long way off.

✨✨ If you hold a monthly membership, please don't wait until the month before to schedule your next appointment 🙏🏼 My diary is open three months in advance to help you plan ahead ✨✨

Thank you for your continued support and for keeping my diary so wonderfully busy. I can't wait to see you all soon!

Have you ever been lying on a treatment couch and felt your body gently wanting to move on its own?
Perhaps your head slowly turned, your arm lifted, or your body wanted to stretch or twist without you consciously deciding to do it.
This is often referred to as myofascial unwinding.
It can be a surprising experience if you've never felt it before, but it's not something you have to make happen. It isn't a technique that can or should be forced. If it occurs, it happens naturally while your body is relaxed and supported.
Not everyone experiences unwinding, and that's completely normal. Every person's nervous system responds differently, and every treatment is unique.
Although we don't yet fully understand why unwinding occurs, many clinicians believe it reflects changes in the nervous system that allow long-held patterns of tension and movement to soften.
Whether your treatment is completely still or includes spontaneous movement, that aim is still the same: to help your body feel safer, freer and more at ease.

"Why can't you just release it in one session?"
The answer is simple: your body isn't a machine.
Fascia, muscles, and your nervous system all work together. Long-standing tension develops over weeks, months, or even years, so it's unrealistic to expect it to disappear in an hour.
Hands-on myofascial release is about creating the right environment for your body to let go of unnecessary tension and adapt over time.
The goal isn't chasing a quick fix, it's helping you move with greater ease and comfort for the long term.

Release isn't something that's done to the body, but something the body allows.
Hands-on myofascial release work doesn't force change, it creates the conditions for it.
Sometimes less force and more listening is where recovery begins.

Pain does not always equal tissue damage.
Tissues can heal while pain persists because pain is produced by the nervous system as a protective response.
Sometimes that system remains sensitized long after healing has occured, so persistent pain is real, but it doesn't always mean something is still injured. It simply means that pain is influenced by many factors beyond tissue health alone.
With the right approach the system can become less protective over time.
Healing isn't just about tissues. Sometimes it's about helping the nervous system feel safe again.
