Recent news from Hull has understandably raised concerns about the care and standards families should expect from a funeral director. We ourselves are shocked and saddened that this has happened to these families.

At Michael McSparron Funeral Directors, we're proud to be a National Society of Allied & Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF) member and part of a community of independent funeral directors committed to professional and compassionate care.

We're regularly inspected and voluntarily regulated under the UK Funeral Director Code. Families also have access to an independent complaints process through SAIF, delivered by an externally audited and Chartered Trading Standards Institute-certified body.

We hope these safeguards offer added reassurance that families and their loved ones will be treated with care, dignity and respect.

Just received this lovely review sent to me from a family from the U S A with a local connection .
It started as a long distance, relationship me in New York and Michael in Northern Ireland, knowing that our Mum would be passing soon. Michael led me through the process with compassion, sympathy, soft direction, and explanation of choices. Every step of the way holding me up. It was an amazing send off for our Mum and he played a huge part in that. Down to the day of the direct cremation playing a special song on the journey up to the crematorium and sending me two videos of those moments. Never has such a hard and emotional time been guided with such ease, kindness, and compassion. Even now as things are at the end, he is still reaching out checking in to see how things are and if we need any more help.
Every phone call was answered right away and every text and email responded to immediately.
