DATE CHANGE! 🗓️

Change is not an easy concept for some - me included. Change can bring on so many different thoughts, and feelings too.
This change has meant frustration and disappointment for me! A hard to accept change.
Lots of planning had gone into the group collaboration.

After a hall hire re-arrangement, in the last week, myself and Caitlin at Fidget and Spin Play Group have sent many emails and visited halls trying to re-arrange a new room. It just wasn’t meant to be this time and there will be no group (the collaboration or the normal SEN social group) next Wednesday 19th.

Anyone who has booked on via the Fidget and Spin website will be contacted by Caitlin.

An October half term date is in the planning! So watch this space 🍁🍂

We both really believe in these groups and you could say the excitement to collaborate is on par with a child at a SEN inclusive stay and play 😁

At Talking From The Art, the optional art materials can support talking therapy - support with expression and processing. With goals set by you, as the client, sessions will go at your pace to explore some of the more difficult parts of life and in particular parenting when there is SEN or neurodiversity in the family.
Self-esteem, work/life balance, relationships with others, breaking or repeating cycles, exploring childhood, emotional regulation, family life - amongst anything else that feels relevant or challenging.

Various levels of touch and mess. Can be done with clean hands, or hands can be used.
Any colour, any style, hand silhouettes - expression is the aim.

All sessions SEN inclusive - all welcome, parents siblings or anyone who may need some more sensory input. Everyone welcome.

Sessions are £5 per family for 29th, 5th and 26th. This includes a quieter play space, connection with others, the opportunity to sit and chat (adults) while children socialise (or sit and create, or move and be physical). Art activity optional with extra charge (£2-3 per child).

Collaboration with Fidget and Spin Play Group on 19th August.
£7.50 per adult and child and £4 per sibling.
A fun and inclusive space that encourages big movements, a quieter space and also small world environments.
Art activities also available this week. And a space for teens to fidget, play, be creative or socialise too.

As always, attendees welcome to bring anything with them that supports comfort! 😊

Booking preferred (easier to know numbers) but as parents we totally understand any last minute bookings or the decision to turn up on the day!

When it comes to therapy, the sessions need to suit you, as the client. If you'd prefer bi-weekly sessions rather than weekly, that could be arranged. If you would like to focus on a key topic for a fixed amount of sessions, that could also be part of your plan. If you want to explore a deeper level of therapy across long term sessions, that can be agreed on. The sessions really do need to work for you to be useful
