✨ Hi, I’m Sarah , the human behind Happy Human Collective.

It’s been over a year since I properly introduced myself, so with a new school year just around the corner, I thought it was about time I popped back on your feed and said hello! 👋

So, if we haven’t met yet…

I’m Sarah, founder of Happy Human Collective 💛

So, why did I start HHC?

After Covid, I noticed a real increase in anxiety and worries amongst young children. I wanted to create a space where children could simply be children.

A space where they could move, play, laugh, express themselves, build confidence and, most importantly, feel safe and happy.

And that's where HHC began.

We started with children's yoga and mindfulness, creating playful ways for little humans to understand their bodies, emotions and minds.

Then, in our third year, we added dance , including ballet, modern and tap! 💃🩰✨

And watching HHC grow from that first little idea into what it is today honestly makes me so proud.

How long have I been teaching?

Well… a LONG time! 😂

I've been teaching children for over 20 years.

I left Lichfield when I was 22 to go and teach in Bermuda, then spent time teaching in Cape Town, before eventually finding my way back home to Lichfield. 💛

And after all these years, do you know what my favourite thing about teaching still is?

The children. Always the children.

Seeing their faces light up when they finally nail something they've been practising.

Watching a shy child slowly come out of their shell.

Seeing them make friends.

Watching them become more confident.

And knowing that, even in a small way, I might be part of their journey through childhood.

That's more than enough for me. 🥹

And finally… because it's important to know the person behind the business 😂

We’ve noticed a little gap in our classes for those children who aren’t little anymore, but aren’t teenagers just yet… 💛

So, we’re excited to introduce our brand-new Tween Yoga Class, specially created for children in Years 4–6 (ages 8–11)! 🌿🧘‍♀️

A space for tweens to:

🌈 Move and have fun
💛 Build confidence & self-awareness
🤝 Connect & make new friends
🌬️ Explore breathing techniques
🧠 Learn simple tools to manage big feelings
✨ Find moments of calm in their busy lives

Most importantly, this class is a chance for our tweens to step away from everyday pressures, take some time for themselves and simply enjoy moving in a way that feels good.

A safe, welcoming and supportive space where they can be themselves, connect and grow. 🌱

Starting dance is such an exciting milestone, and we’d love to welcome your little dancer to Happy Human Collective.

For our Reception-aged children, we offer:

🩰 Ballet classes – building confidence, coordination and the foundations of ballet.

✨Modern & Tap Combo – a fun mix of modern dance and tap, perfect for little ones who love to move, groove and perform!

We have lots of NEW classes added to our September timetable, so there are more opportunities than ever to get dancing.

🎉 Trial classes are available during the week commencing 7th September.
