30 of us cycling from Blackpool Tower to the Liver Buildings as part of the ‘Braveheart Cycle’

A couple of days earlier than our retreat guests we’ve arrived in Chamonix 🗻 the valley is drenched in the sunshine today 🫶🏻

A day our city will never forget, a day that when I recall puts a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes - I was 6 years old 🥹

I’ll never forget that Saturday, sitting in my nans living room watching the devastation unfold, the phone call from Auntie Theresa quite hysterical. Walking home that night down county road and every pub had queues around the block of people waiting to use the pay phone, desperately calling the number that had been displayed on our tv’s, our close neighbours frantically trying to contact their loved ones that where there…and in the days and weeks that followed being aware of the funerals and the heartache that our city held. Being sent for the daily paper and told “Make sure it’s not the S*N” I remember asking why? My mum saying “because they blamed us” “but we weren’t there” it didn’t need much more of an explanation

My people
My heart

We will always remember this day with heavy hearts, the families and all those affected
And we will always fight for justice - it’s ingrained in us 💙

I need you 👇🏼
On Monday 4th May I’m hosting a 6hr Yogathon as a side fundraiser for Alzheimer’s Research UK…this is a mini fundraiser to support Paula bigger fundraiser which is in its 10th and final year ‘Braveheart’ cycle from Blackpool tower to Pier Head on 6th June which both myself and husband Mark are taking part in.

The Yogathon will take place at the Shala 8:30am - 2:30pm Monday 4th May I’m encouraging people to create a team and join 💪🏼 We will have a maximum of 12 teams and you can have as many people in your team as you like as long as there’s always someone on the Mat - each participant will pay a £30 entrance fee or create their own sponsorship and raise more. 100% of this is going directly to Paula’s Braveheart Fundraiser

The teacher line up and schedule will follow and this is open to all abilities - even if you’ve never practiced before you can get involved 😉

Here’s what I need you to do….message me privately with confirmation of your team, numbers and names and I’ll get the mats reserved, also let me know whether you’ll be paying an entrance fee of £30pp and or fundraising ✅

That’s a wrap 🌱💐

Garth Barns you never disappoint 😍

We had the most wonderful weekend bathed in nature, with spirited souls, nourishing food, the most amazing yoga practices where we drew on many different modalities ✨

Silence to Chanting, Swimming to Dancing, Walking and lots of talking 🤣 singing around the campfire, raving and twisting (yes the 1960’s Twist!) we done it all…

We explored different pranayama, deep meaningful meditations, Ashtanga, Mandala, Yin, Restorative, Somatic embodiment and closed the weekend with the most amazing sound bath from the gift that is ‘Amazing Grace’ 👌🏼

What we experienced this weekend can’t be captured on a photo - it can’t even be put in to words…pure magic ✨

M A N D A L A 📿

After flowing 360 around the mat we take 5 full breaths in an inversion ~ These inversions act as a physical and energetic reset, leveraging the built up heat and balancing the nervous system ✨

My favourite reset🧡

After the heat of Sun Salutations the body is primed: Muscles open, Heart pumping and Energy high…The inversion cools the nervous system, flips perspective, and pulls me back into presence before the next round. Hold, breathe, return renewed. - I love it!! 🧘‍♀️✨

My First born is taller than me💙

The first pic was taken on my 3rd Visit to the Magical I’d been on two previous teacher trainings there but this would be the first retreat I hosted solo and yup I was 8 months pregnant 🫣
I hosted 16 students taught 4+hrs of yoga per day and loved every minute, I’d get into my bed and night and conk out 💤

Fast forward 10 years My baby boy is almost as tall as me, My eldest boy is taller than me 💙 I’ve hosted over 30 retreats worldwide, racked up an additional 2000+hrs in trainings, taught in excess of 9300 classes 😱, opened my own studio , still mix up my right and left and occasionally forget a shiny new sequence midway - off the mat I’ve had a million adventures but the best one was marrying my soulmate and becoming a wife (I had three weddings and four hen do’s 💃 I do love a party!)

10 years on I still teach yoga 7 days per week as well as being a wife and a mum to our two amazing children, I lead a very busy life but I find peace in my daily practice 🧘🏼‍♀️

I Re-Treat whenever I can, this is non negotiable no matter how busy I am I’ve always got some rest planned ✨

The full moon in Cancer brings a sense of home, connection, inner security and commitment and she wants to know how you will commit to yourself as we enter a new calendar year 🌕

House scrubbed, dinner on, class planned for the week ahead, music blasting - Ive drummed with Phil, been voguing to Madonna then belting out Whitney 💃
Music is medicine to me and different artists transport me to many different places but today’s subconscious playlist brought me to my childhood home 🥹🏠
