Bob, despite his limited sight, enjoyed helping Gavin spray paint the patio fence. It was lovely to see Bob getting involved and lending a hand!

We also had a fantastic Friday Feeling with a puppet show featuring Adrian and his one-man band!

Everyone got involved in a game of French boules, with residents, visitors, and staff joining in. Bob was able to take part too, using a brighter ball which helped him play despite his limited sight. It was lovely seeing everyone included and enjoying the game together 🎯

Last Wednesday, we hosted our Ashberry Staff Awards at Blaenos House, and it was a huge success! We did things differently this year, welcoming families and residents to celebrate alongside us 🏆🎉

The event honoured the dedication and core values that define Ashberry Healthcare: loyalty, integrity, and compassion, including long-service achievements ranging from 3 to an incredible 25+ years.

Congratulations to our award recipients: Zoe E for Core Values, Dawn R for Employee of the Year, Gosia Bailey for Wellbeing, Daria B for Dementia Awareness, and Ivy J, who received our brand-new Above-and-beyond Resident-nominated Award.

We were also delighted to welcome the Mayor and members of the Rotary Club, who spoke about their charity and their connection to Blaenos House. They thanked Adrian, the Vice President, and Ivy, who has done so much for the community, for choosing them as their charity of choice.

Your dedication and heart are exactly what make Blaenos House the warm, caring home it is.
