Happy Friday 😊
We made it to the weekend 🙌🏻
What a week it's been 🫣
Dakota has her school's annual Bounceathon today. Each child gets 1 minute on a bouncy castle 🏰 to do as many jumps as possible. The winner in each class gets a medal 🏅 and every child gets a rocket lolly at the end 🍭
To be fair, I'd probably put in maximum effort for a rocket lolly too 😂
Meanwhile, it's the day job for me, so no bouncy castle fun, no medals and definitely no ice lollies. Just me watching everyone else have all the fun while I'm at work 🤣
Then there was my swimming lesson yesterday...
We'd barely been in the pool 5 minutes when everything came to a sudden halt. First, there were some kids in the pool who weren't supposed to be there.
A bit annoying, but nothing major.
Then someone spotted a little "present" on the pool floor 💩🤢
I've never seen a group of adults move so quickly. One minute we were practising our swimming, the next we were launching ourselves out of the pool like dolphins escaping a sinking ship 🐬😂
Needless to say, we all headed straight for the showers. Then spent some time in the steam room trying to forget what we'd just witnessed.
The good news is we've been given a catch-up lesson.
The bad news?
Next Thursday's lesson is now a full hour long 😳
An hour.
60 minutes.
Twice the amount of swimming.
Twice the amount of opportunities for me to accidentally drink pool water.
Pray for me 🙈🤣
Hopefully today is a little less eventful than yesterday!
