Part one: Toddler with lip liner vs. pale grey sofa.

All parents out there will definitely relate… this was the latest toddler incident in our household!

I do have to give a shout-out to the Vax UK SpotWash in this video. I’ve had mine for a few years now after it was recommended by a friend, and it has genuinely got me out of some very sticky situations, I would say I use it every couple of weeks at least for one disaster or another! One time, one of the kids got paint all over their feet and walked straight across our cream carpet. The Vax SpotWash made light work of it.

So… will it manage lip liner? Watch to the end to find out!

Just to be clear this isn’t an ad. I just genuinely love my Vax 😍😂

A little belated celebration for our 11th wedding anniversary ❤️

Pete was working on the day, so we finally got the chance to celebrate together. As parents, it’s funny how guilty you can feel doing something without the kids (we definitely do!) but I also think it’s so important to make time for each other and celebrate your relationship too.

We headed back to one of our favourite places (not an ad, we genuinely love it there!). We had the best time, and it was lovely as always to spend some quality time together.

Another lovely day, another bike ride! Found a lovely new route through the woods and did a bit of exploring. The kids love it and so did I!

We also bumped into a couple of lovely ladies riding their horses and Belle couldn’t quite get over it 😂🥰 horses are pretty big in real life (especially when you’re 2) and she didn’t know what to make of it but was very happy!

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend xx

A high temperature doesn’t always mean your child needs medicine. Fever is part of the body’s natural response to help fight infection.

Give paracetamol or ibuprofen if your child is uncomfortable, distressed or in pain - not just because their temperature’s high. What’s most important isn’t the number on the thermometer, it’s how your child is behaving and what’s causing the fever.

Know the red flags that need an urgent medical assessment or GP appointment. Two important examples of when you need to seek medical care are:

- Any baby under 3 months with a temperature of 38°C or above
- Any baby aged 3-6 months with a temperature of 39°C or above

The HandiApp and the NHS website both have excellent advice on recognising red flags, managing fever and knowing when to seek medical help. Although HandiApp was developed in Somerset, it’s designed for use across the UK, so don’t worry if your local area isn’t listed - the guidance is still applicable wherever you live. Most fevers settle as the underlying illness improves, so focus on your child’s symptoms, not just their temperature.

Really fancied an iced coffee this morning so went to the freezer to get ice….was faced with this monstrosity!!!! Thanks to whoever put the coke in ice tray 😂

Not only did it take about half an hour to sort out (and still chunks of frozen coke in all the nooks and crannies) but I didn’t even get ice for my coffee!!!

😫😫😫

Safe to say I’m not much of a gym goer, but you can’t go wrong with Gymshark for everyday wear (not an ad, I just genuinely love their stuff). Maybe this haul will be the motivation I need to actually make it to the gym 🤷‍♀️💪

Calling all LEGO lovers, once you’ve finished a build, what’s your next move? Do you proudly display it and admire your handiwork, or break it all down and start the fun again? I’m curious where everyone stands on this… and if you do take it apart, I’d love to know your practical tips for storing it and rebuilding it later! 🤣🧱

Morning everyone! I had one of those rare mornings where I woke up before everyone else in the house and it was soooo quiet.

I had a peaceful coffee before starting the day, then Theo came down and joined me, so we ended up having some lovely chilled time together before everyone else woke up.

I’m one of those people who just needs loads of sleep. The sleepless part of parenting was always the hardest bit for me. Luckily (touch wood) we’re out the other side of that now with Belle, but I’m definitely not complacent! 🤞

I have so many friends who can survive and even thrive on 4 or 5 hours sleep, and it honestly boggles my brain.

Please tell me I’m not the only one who needs a good 8+ hours! 😂

Belle and I watched David Attenborough together for the first time this evening and it ended up being such a lovely little activity!

We chatted about the different animals, copied the noises they made and pointed things out to each other. She was completely fascinated, especially seeing an elephant after only ever seeing them in books.

I love activities like this because i can make a down time activity into a social and learning experience (for both of us!). And let’s be honest, any excuse to watch David Attenborough is a win!
