When every muscle refuses to let go...

I saw a client today who came in with an unusual pain around his eyes, jaw, and neck — something he’s been aware of since his early twenties. Nothing had ever really helped, except cranio-sacral therapy which gave some relief.

When I begin working with someone, I always start by listening to the body. His body guided me straight to the left eye. Before going further, I checked if he was “testable.” Many of you know I use muscle testing to understand what’s happening. For me to use muscles effectively, they need to be functional (able to contract and also relax when given the right signal).

In his case, every single muscle I tested was locked, stuck in contraction and unable to let go. This global muscle locking can happen for many reasons. With him, the root cause was an emotional energy he had been carrying since he was just one year old, absorbed from his mother.

Interestingly, this emotional energy showed up everywhere in his body except his neck and head. That meant the only place his body could “compensate” was in the area where he felt the most pain — his eyes, jaw, and neck.

Once we released that emotional blockage, all of his muscles began functioning again (with just a few left to work on in future sessions). I’ll be very curious to hear how his body responds over the next few days.

One thing is certain: emotional stress plays a huge role in how our body functions. And more often than we think, what feels purely physical has deep emotional roots.

(And why was I pulled to his left eye initially? That is a whole other story which has primitive reflexes and an imbalance in the kidney due to fluoride in tap water at its root...)

“When Your Core Won’t Switch On… and the Surprising Root Cause”

Have you ever felt like your core just won’t hold, no matter what you try? One of my clients came in with this exact problem. Her right side kept switching off, despite all the corrections we’d already done.

Here’s where it got interesting. Testing showed the problem was linked to an old primitive reflex (the Asymmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex. It’s the one that helps babies twist their way through the birth canal). In her case, it hadn’t fully integrated or has reactivated due to some trauma.

But that wasn’t the end of the story. The reflex was tied to her vestibular system, specifically the right anterior semi-circular canal. And even deeper still… the trail led to her right kidney, overloaded with an old stuck emotion.

Once that emotion was released, everything shifted. Her nervous system calmed, the vestibular dysfunction cleared, and her core muscles fired up strong again.

The body is endlessly fascinating ...
