St. George's Health and Wellbeing Hub in Hornchurch was chosen by Minister of State for Health, Karin Smyth, to unveil the long-term investment NHS programme, which will modernise NHS buildings and equipment, improve technology and support more care being delivered closer to people's homes.

St. George's was recognised as a national example of neighbourhood healthcare.

We had the absolute pleasure of hosting around 60 Year 1 budding gardeners from the local primary school on Friday 3 July to help us beautify the local Hornchurch hub for our patients and staff. Working alongside Hospital Rooms, International artists, have been working with our service users and staff to transform spaces across our mental health hospital in Goodmayes.

Through creative workshops and listening to what people want, they have helped reimagine our courtyard, wards and buildings, creating brighter, more welcoming environments that inspire wellbeing, connection and recovery.

Edwin is currently Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Chief Executive, at East London NHS Foundation Trust and brings a deep understanding of, and connection to, the diverse communities we serve, alongside strong and established working relationships with senior colleagues across the organisation. Edwin’s calm, thoughtful and collaborative leadership style, which will be important as we continue to lead the Trust through the next phase of our journey.
