Think it's just a corn? It could be a verruca. 🦶
This painful lesion was actually a Verruca (HPV) that had become increasingly uncomfortable, especially when walking. After numbing the area with a local anaesthetic, I carefully treated it using **dry needling** following debridement.

If you've been treating a stubborn "corn" that just won't go away, it may be worth getting it properly assessed.

The longer you ignore an infected toenail, the worse it can become.⚠️
This infected toenails needed careful treatment to remove the affected tissue and help relieve the patient's discomfort. Ignoring pain won't make it disappear. Early treatment can often help prevent more serious problems.

Would you ignore this if it was on your foot?
A painful spot on the sole of your foot isn't always "just hard skin." Changes like these can have different causes, which is why a professional assessment is so important before starting any treatment.

A verruca may start small, but it can become surprisingly painful.
Also known as a plantar wart, a verruca is caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) and often develops on the soles of the feet. Because of the pressure from standing and walking, it can become uncomfortable and is sometimes mistaken for a corn or callus.

If you've noticed a stubborn spot on your foot that's painful to walk on, continues to grow, or won't go away, it's worth having it professionally assessed. Early diagnosis can help determine the most appropriate treatment and prevent further discomfort.

✨ Progress takes patience.
This patient had a longstanding fungal nail infection affecting multiple toenails, requiring a combination of Lunula Laser therapy, oral antifungal medication, topical treatments, regular nail care, and strict infection control.

Despite interruptions from hip surgery and travel, the patient remained committed to treatment. Over time, most of the nails grew back clear and healthy, with only the right fifth toenail requiring continued attention.

Every appointment brought us one step closer to healthier nails.
If you've been hiding your toenails because of a fungal infection, don't lose hope. With the right diagnosis, treatment plan, and consistency, improvement is possible.

A damaged toenail isn't always just a damaged toenail. 👣
In today's procedure, I performed a total nail removal after assessing changes that required a closer look. Before starting, the toe was cleaned with iodine, which is why you'll notice the yellow color at the beginning of the video.

To better understand the cause, a small tissue sample was also collected after the nail was removed. This allows us to investigate any underlying condition and plan the most appropriate treatment.

✨ From fungal infection to healthy nails.
This patient came to me with a fungal nail infection affecting multiple toenails, alongside nail damage caused by repeated running trauma. Following a confirmed diagnosis, we created a personalised treatment plan combining regular nail care, topical antifungal treatment, oral medication (prescribed by their GP), and ongoing monitoring.

After months of commitment, regular debridement, and excellent home care, a repeat fungal nail test came back negative. 🎉

The nails are now healthy, with only minor bruising from marathon training rather than infection.
Every case is different, but early diagnosis, the right treatment plan, and patient commitment can make a significant difference.

📩 If you're concerned about changes in your nails, don't ignore them. A professional assessment can help determine the cause and the most appropriate treatment.
