Oakfield Clients have been very busy in the community this month. Firstly, the service users visited Imperial war Museum in Kennington.
Imperial War Museum was established in 1917 to document the First Worlds War It was housed in South Kensington between 1924 and 1935 The iconic sights and human stories that inspire and transform. There are over 500 artworks depicting creativity and innovation during the conflict. There was a lot to learn as Clients were surprised to see such arts in the immersive galleries where powerful objects bring history stories alive. All service who visited the museum were happy and cherish the hard work of Londoners during the World War.

Service users were escorted to visit the iconic Windsor castle in Windsor. Windsor is the largest continuously inhabited castle in the world founded by Willian the Conqueror in the 11th Century. It serves as the Official residence for his Majesty the King which features the historic St George ‘s Chapel and has housed 40 monarchs.
Service Users had a lot of sightseeing and enjoy these trips.

April & May Highlights at Retreat Lodge ✨🌸
At Retreat Lodge, we continue creating meaningful experiences, joyful memories, and engaging opportunities for all our residents. Here’s a look back at some of our wonderful recent activities and celebrations.
🐣 Easter Celebrations & Competitions
Residents enthusiastically participated in a variety of Easter-themed activities, including egg painting, Easter egg hunts, festive table decorations, and enjoying traditional Easter food together.
We are delighted to announce that Retreat Lodge proudly won an Easter competition prize hamper, making the celebrations even more special for everyone involved.
🎨 SUAG Activities – Theme of the Month: Arts & Creativity
Throughout April, residents explored their artistic talents through a range of creative activities such as painting, pottery, craft workshops, and room decoration using recycled materials.
To conclude the month, we organised a beautiful in-house Art Exhibition where residents’ artwork was proudly displayed. The event also included live entertainment, music, and engaging activities, creating a joyful and vibrant atmosphere enjoyed by all.
🌷 Resident Spotlight – David
David has become increasingly involved in creative and wellbeing activities, particularly enjoying fresh flower arrangements and decorating his room with artistic touches. It has been wonderful to see his creativity flourish.
🎂 Birthday Celebrations
We were delighted to celebrate Andrew’s birthday on 9th June with music, laughter, and wonderful company. Everyone had a lovely time joining in the celebrations.
We also celebrated Nicole’s birthday on 3rd May alongside her family and friends. The occasion was filled with delicious food, cake, music, and happiness shared by all.

The ladies of Knightscourt went on a picnic while the sun was out and had a lovely time together. They were happily dancing to music, singing songs, and playing games.

KO also went to the funfair, where she really enjoyed going on the rides.
