I don’t know what this beautiful new month has in store but, I’ve always seen it as an opportunity to reset a little. But just because the summer is easing into a whole new energy it doesn’t mean we actually have to have a whole game plan worked out, we can find out as we move along giving ourselves time to feel into it.
For me this transition to Autumn is less about pushing and more about flow. A nurturing return back to self, to gently approach each day with less resistance, less forcing it to the point where the joy, the beauty, the presence turns into more being busy, overwhelm, feeling rushed and burned out. I don’t want to become so disconnected from myself and feel like I’m chasing the next thing, and I’m pretty sure neither do you.
The two can co-exist, being productive without the need to compromise yourself and your needs. So, yes I have plans, things to keep me busy but I’m taking my cue from nature and flowing with it rather than pushing.
This means being more intentional with my time, balancing work with the things that bring joy, not being so reactive or responsive to the world that wants everything instantly, reminding myself to slow down, to tend to my self care and needs and more importantly to take on the ever changing magic of the season at a pace that works for me, wafting if need be so I can really be in it you know.
So, a reminder love, there’s no need to rush back to everything with urgency, to optimise everything, to forget yourself with being over efficient. Let yourself also be, let yourself have moments where you simply don’t have a clue what’s coming next, give yourself the same nurturing energy you give out to others, see the tone for yourself and for others to see. What’s the point in everything moving so fast, we miss so much!
And if you need someone to wing it with you, I’m right here love, productivity can flow even when we give ourselves the space to nourish it and sometimes we have to go back to the root and strengthen that 🤍💫✨
(Ps I’ve a little idea brewing more on that another time, I’m off to swish in the garden under the falling leaves 🍂)
