Photoageing is caused by long-term UV exposure, which triggers DNA damage, oxidative stress, and chronic low-level inflammation in the skin. Facial ageing doesn’t happen in one layer. Over time, the skin, fat, muscle and even bone all change. Skincare can improve texture and pigmentation, but it won’t correct deeper structural changes like volume loss or tissue descent.
