Some beautiful photos from our very lovely friend Pam turning 100 years old on Friday. Pam had such a wonderful day celebrating this very special milestone. She had her favourite singer and friend Bryan out entertaining in the afternoon. She was over the moon to have him sing to her on her Birthday.

Do you enjoy bringing joy to others? Could you spare a few hours each week to make a real difference?
We’re looking for a friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to help brighten the days of our residents. In this rewarding role, you will be supporting the home by helping to keep our care home gardens looking beautiful for our residents

You’ll meet new people, build meaningful connections, and become part of a vibrant, caring community.

A lovely day in the sunshine! Cold drinks, ice lollies and ice cream galore. A lovely walk over to Granny's Bay with Ron this afternoon. He had a lovely time, then back relaxing in the garden with an ice cream. Also today Hazel was with us for armchair aerobics this morning and Richard delivered his talk in History Club. This afternoon we had our the Starr Hills Service. We have planted our sunflowers, that have grown so well indoors and are now outside.

What a wonderful time we have had visiting the beauty of Lytham Hall today. Over the next few weeks we will be taking small groups to visit and enjoy the surroundings. Today Brian and Brenda had a lovely time enjoying the fresh air, admiring the woodlands, smelling the varieties of mint in the Garden Kitchen, Brian saw old friends from his days of being a regular visitor at the Hall. They were all so pleased to see each other. We looked around the garden hub, the quaint little shops and of course stopped for tea and coffee at the Court Yard. A truly enjoyable time had by all.

VE Day 2026 at Starr Hills. A lovely day filled with gratitude and cheer. Storytelling of growing up in the war this morning. A common theme being mainly fond memories due to parents protecting their children from the severity of the reality. This afternoon a party to celebrate. War music, singing, some dancing, sherry toasts and sweet treats.
Also a very special 93rd Birthday for our good friend Pat.
