What a fabulous event our Summer Fair on Saturday was. Thank you so much to every single person that supported us and came along on the day. Raffle donations, buying tickets, stall holders, staff and volunteers that worked so hard. Fantastic entertainment by Bex. The community spirit we have built and are grateful to be a part of is wonderful. Thank you for helping us raise a fantastic £777.40!! This will go straight into the residents amenities fund. Your kindness and support means the world to us! A wonderful day! Summer Fair 2026 over and out!!!

Don't forget this weekend! Our Summer Fair is on Saturday 15th August 1.30-4.30. Packed with lots of fun for all the family!
Open to the public, all welcome!
Local small business with stalls, free bouncy castle, entertainment, refreshments, raffle, tombola. All funds raised go straight into our residents amenities fund. We hope to see you there!!

We are so lucky to have Jo recently join us to offer relaxing hand massages to our residents on a regular basis. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their massage and the home smelled divine with the scents from her products. Hand massages provide many benefits both physical and emotional. Easing physical pain and relieving joint stiffness, reducing stress and even improving sleep. The comfort of touch with a kind conversation offers a truly lovely meaningful engagement.

What a fantastic afternoon we had on Friday! We had Lucky Locky at Starr Hills entertaining us, and entertain he sure did! Lots of singing, dancing and laughter! A great end to the week. So many happy faces!

Football Fever here at Starr Hills today ahead of England playing in the semi finals of the World Cup tonight. Lots of jolly cheers. 'Come on England!!'

A snippet from our Friday just gone.
Another Birthday in the Starr Hills House! This time it was Beryl's special day. We had a lovely day enjoying the sunshine and making the most of all the cold and iced refreshments! Beryl loves carpet bowls so that afternoon we played carpet bowls and raised a glass afterwards!
In the morning we had a mild exercise session due to the warm weather and finished with a bit of tennis fun! Everyone had fabulous hand, eye coordination! I was starting to worry about the TV!!
I had a wonderful helper handing out the weekly activity programme with me, Beryl enjoyed going around the home and spotting her friends names on the doors! A lovely Friday all round!

A wonderful day today celebrating a very special 98th Birthday for Val. A trip to the White Church for coffee morning, which was great as always, seeing the community group is a weekly highlight for all that attend. A surprise Birthday cake and beautiful speech with birthday wishes from the ladies at the White Church. Everyone singing Happy Birthday was lovely! James this afternoon came to play the accordion, followed by Richard and his ever popular big quiz, then more celebrations in the summer house with family and friends. A packed day filled with smiles, singing, merry spirits and lots of cake! Many Happy Returns to Val.
