🌺 Aloha from our Hawaiian Luau! 🌴🌸

We had a wonderful time bringing a little taste of Hawaii to Belong! Our residents enjoyed a delicious Luau buffet, plenty of fun with Luau Bingo, and relaxing ukulele music playing in the background. 🎶🌺

A huge thank you to our fantastic kitchen team for preparing such a lovely spread – it was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone! 🍍🥥🍽️

We’d also like to say a very special thank you to our lovely volunteer Annie for supporting the day and helping make it such an enjoyable occasion for our residents. 💕👏

This morning our residents enjoyed a lovely sensory session out in the garden, exploring lots of different textures, smells and sensations. From the soft, fluffy feel and fresh scent of shaving foam to the grainy texture of sand and the wonderfully wobbly feel of jelly, there was plenty to discover! 🫧🏖️🍮

Sensory activities are not only great fun, they can also help stimulate the senses, encourage curiosity and conversation, evoke memories, and support relaxation and wellbeing. 💚

There were lots of smiles, laughter and some wonderfully messy hands along the way! 😊

Tonight, our Experience Coordinator Lexi and one of our apartment tenants Petronella headed out to Tegg’s Nose to watch the solar eclipse together. 💙

Armed with their eclipse glasses, they were ready to safely enjoy the spectacle and capture every moment of this special experience. 🕶️🌞

What a wonderful evening spent making memories, enjoying the beautiful surroundings and witnessing something a little out of the ordinary! 🌿✨

For our August Staff Appreciation, our wonderful kitchen team baked a delicious selection of homemade muffins and cookies for everyone to enjoy.

We’ve been enjoying watching our little caterpillars grow as part of our butterfly growing kit, and they’re already starting to form their chrysalises! 🥰

It’s been lovely watching the changes each day, and our residents are looking forward to seeing them transform into beautiful butterflies. 🦋🌸

As always, we thoroughly enjoyed welcoming the wonderful Julia Robertson back to Belong Macclesfield! ❤️

Our residents had a fantastic time joining in with some gentle exercise, singing along to their favourite tunes and, of course, showing off a few dance moves! 💪🎤💃

There were plenty of smiles, laughter and happy faces all around. 😊

This week has definitely been an ice cream kind of week! 🍦☀️

Our residents have been making the most of the lovely weather with plenty of walks out in the sunshine, followed by well-deserved ice cream treats. There’s nothing quite like enjoying a cone with good company and a smile!

It’s been wonderful to see everyone getting out, enjoying the fresh air, and creating happy summer memories together. 💙
