"There was lots of excitement on Monday as our residents took part in our annual Olympic Games, with three brilliant teams competing against each other! 🏅😊

It was wonderful to see everyone getting so involved in the games and enjoying a day filled with fun and laughter. We look forward to this event every year as it's a lovely way for our residents to partake in activities which encourage teamwork and togetherness.

Following Duncan’s visit to Sutton Court for International Nurses Day, we have been reflecting on the incredible dedication of our nursing team and the wider role they play in life at the home.

Every day, our staff go above and beyond to support residents, build meaningful connections and provide care with kindness, skill and compassion.

It was a real pleasure to welcome Duncan, Chief Nursing Officer for England, to Sutton Court ahead of International Nurses Day.

During his visit, Duncan spent time speaking with our staff and residents, hearing more about life at Sutton Court and the important role nursing plays here in supporting, caring for and connecting with our community every day.

It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the future of nursing and celebrate the dedication of our team.

We had a fantastic celebration in collaboration with Sutton Council and volunteers from Swar Sathi. Our residents spent the day enjoying:

🎸 Live music & sing-alongs that brought so much energy.

🧘‍♂️ Armchair yoga & meditation set to calming cosmic sounds.

☕ Tea & refreshments to wrap up a truly uplifting afternoon.

The home was transformed into a runway today for our Easter Parade!

Our residents were busy crafting the most spectacular Easter bonnets. From vibrant florals to feathered masterpieces, the creativity on display was incredible. 🐣

There were smiles all around as we paraded through the home, celebrating the season with style. 💅

We had a wonderful time celebrating Eid at our home this week! Our day was filled with joy, starting with an insightful presentation on Islamic traditions and Ramadan, followed by some fantastic dance performances by our talented staff.

To wrap up the festivities, everyone enjoyed getting beautiful henna designs and sharing a delicious feast of traditional food prepared by one of our team members. It was a lovely day of culture and community that was truly enjoyed by all! 💚
