As I've got older, I've become less interested in success and more interested in sustainability.
Not because ambition disappears.
But because I've seen too many good people burn themselves out chasing things they thought would eventually make them happy.
The promotion.
The business.
The money.
The recognition.
None of them are bad things.
But they lose their value if we arrive there exhausted, disconnected and wondering where the years went.
These days I find myself asking a different question.
Not "How far can I go?"
But:
"Can I build a life I actually want to be present for when I get there?"
For me, that's become a far more interesting measure of success.
