🏃‍♀️💚 What a weekend for ! 💚🏃‍♀️

The running shoes were definitely getting some mileage this weekend!

A huge well done to the family of our beloved Jill Roylance, who took part in the Great Manchester Run 10K to raise money for the incredible Moya Cole Hospice, whose care meant so much to Jill and her family.

They absolutely smashed their fundraising target and have raised an amazing £4,674 so far… and the donations are still coming in! 👏💚

The fitness bug didn’t stop there! Our Theresa completed her 5K alongside her family, ticking off something she’d wanted to do before her big birthday this week. Although we’re fairly sure she’s celebrating being 21 again! 😜🎂

And finally, a massive congratulations to Suzy, who ran her fastest ever half marathon with her husband. Considering it was a very last-minute decision, we’ll forgive the slightly questionable name badges! 😂🏅

We’re incredibly proud of you all. Your determination, commitment and community spirit are what make Leemings such a special place.

We’ve finally got a website! 👀✨

You can now find all our information online, including our services, opening hours, team info and ways to contact us.

We wanted the website to feel just like the practice itself, friendly, welcoming and personal, and we’re so excited to finally share it with everyone.

Five years ago we took a leap and opened La Chouquette here in Didsbury.
We built this little space from scratch — early mornings, long days, pouring everything into creating something special for our community. And you showed up for us. You helped us grow. You made us busy. You made it worth it 🤍
Now we’re seeing yet another coffee chain opening in Didsbury — and while competition is part of business, it’s hard not to notice that they often follow strong independent communities with loyal customer bases.
Independent businesses don’t have head offices.
We don’t have national marketing budgets.
We don’t have shareholders.
We have you.
Every coffee bought from an independent stays local. It pays local wages. It supports local families. It keeps character and originality alive in our high street.
If you love having independents in Didsbury, now more than ever your support really matters.
Thank you for five incredible years. We’re still here going strong, still passionate, still baking, still pouring — and still grateful every single day ☕🥐

Seeing one of our loyal patients standing in front of his own review on our window just sums up everything we love about Leemings.

We’ve always said we’re more like a family than a business, and it’s moments like this that prove it.

When painting the windows for M J Leeming Opticians last week, I was asked to make include a sweet quote from a review left by one of their loyal customers.

He popped in to collect his glasses as I was working, so I had to take the opportunity to firstly get a snap of him with the work in progress, but also include his sweet mush in the work itself 👌🏻
