We love hearing feedback and it doesn't come much better than this! A huge shoutout to our fantastic Consultant physio, Andy Renshaw, for this incredible 5-star Google review from Alex:

👉 “Andy took 5 minutes in our first meeting to (correctly) diagnose my chronic knee pain where a consultant with the benefit of an MRI scan had failed and wanted to undertake surgery. Andy clearly knows his stuff and is a genuinely lovely chap as well and I'm eternally grateful for him helping me avoid surgery.”

Avoiding unnecessary surgery and getting people back to doing what they love is exactly why we do what we do.

The school holidays are officially here! 🎒☀️

While it’s wonderful to have the kids home, any parent knows that the summer break is less of a holiday and more of a six-week endurance event.

From lifting heavy luggage for family trips to running around the park, trampling after toddlers, or spending hours bent over helping them ride bikes—your body takes a serious hitting.

It’s incredibly common for parents to walk into our clinics in August with lower back tweaks, neck strain from sleeping on travel pillows, or knee aches from suddenly keeping up with high-energy kids.

You can't pour from an empty cup, and you certainly can't enjoy the summer if you're in pain.

If the holiday hustle is already taking a toll on your back, shoulders, or joints, don’t just grin and bear it. Drop us a message or click the link in our bio to book a session with our physio team, or a sports massage session, and let’s keep you moving comfortably all summer long!

International Self-Care Day is today, 24th July! The date (24/7) is a brilliant little reminder that looking after your health isn't just a once-a-year luxury—it's a daily habit. 🕰️✨

When most people hear the words "self-care," they think of spa days or relaxing baths. But real physical self-care is usually much simpler: it’s just listening to your body. That persistent ni**le in your knee, the tight shoulders from sitting at your desk all week, or the ache you’ve been ignoring since your last run? Giving those attention is self-care.

Let's treat our bodies a bit better. Whether that means starting a daily stretching routine, drinking a bit more water, or finally letting a professional look at that old injury, make your health a priority.

If you’ve got a nagging ache you've been putting off, stop ignoring it.

The Commonwealth Games are officially kicking off in Glasgow this week! 🏆✨ There is nothing quite like the energy of a massive sporting event to get everyone feeling inspired to move.

Watching these elite athletes push their boundaries is incredible, but it also highlights just how important it is to take care of the body you've got. You don't need to be competing for a gold medal to deserve a body that moves without pain, stiffness, or restriction.

Whether the games have inspired you to lace up your running shoes again, get back on the bike, or simply start a daily mobility routine, we want to help you do it safely.

If an old injury or a stubborn ache is holding you back from your own fitness goals, let’s get it sorted. Drop us a message or click the link in our bio to book in with our physio team today! 🏃‍♂️💪

Watching the drama unfold at Royal Birkdale this weekend? 🏌️‍♂️⛳

As the world's best take on the brutal coastal winds and towering dunes of Southport, it’s easy to marvel at the sheer distance they get off the tee. But behind those massive 300+ yard drives isn't just brute force—it’s elite mechanics, precision timing, and incredible mobility.

The golf swing is one of the most explosive, repetitive rotational movements in all of sport. To generate that power without snapping your lower back, your body relies heavily on two main engine rooms:

💥 Thoracic (Upper Back) Mobility: If your upper spine is stiff, your body will naturally force your lower back to over-rotate to compensate. That is a fast track to lumbar strains and the dreaded 'golfer’s elbow'.
💥 Hip Internal Rotation: A powerful backswing and follow-through require your hips to clear seamlessly. Tight hips mean restricted power and extra shear force placed right through your knees.

You don’t need to be competing for the Claret Jug to treat your body like an elite athlete. Whether you're trying to fix a persistent ache after 18 holes or looking to unlock an extra 15 yards off the tee this summer, our specialist sports physios are here to help you move better, play pain-free, and protect your spine.

💧 Work out with only 30% of your body weight?
Becky Ball and break down why hydrotherapy is a game-changer for rehab.
By utilizing water depth (at chest height, you’re only carrying about 30–35% of your body weight!), we can:
* 🚫 Take the pressure off sore, stiff, or degenerative joints.
* 🔥 Use the soothing warmth to relieve muscle tension.
* 🚶‍♂️ Restore normal movement patterns and rebuild confidence.

It’s MATCH DAY! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿⚽️

Tonight is the big one. The tension is already building, the shirts are on, and we are absolutely buzzing here at the clinic.

We know how this goes: we’ll watch the pros fly across the pitch tonight, get incredibly inspired, and immediately book a local pitch or head to the park this weekend to recreate those goals.

But going from the sofa to a full-on sprint without a proper warm-up is a quick way to find yourself booked onto our treatment tables next week! 😅

Before you channel your inner Bellingham or Saka this weekend, our team has three quick, non-negotiable rules to keep your hamstrings, knees, and ankles happy:

1️⃣ Ditch the static stretches: Standing still and touching your toes cold doesn’t prep your muscles for explosive runs. Opt for dynamic movement instead—think a light jog, leg swings, and gentle lunges to get the blood flowing.

2️⃣ Wake up your glutes: If you’ve been sitting at your desk all day, your glutes are essentially asleep. Do a few quick bodyweight squats or single-leg glute bridges before kickoff to help protect your lower back and knees.

3️⃣ The "One-Pint" Cool Down: Don’t run straight from the final whistle to the pub or car! Spend just 5 minutes walking it out and doing some gentle static stretches. Your muscles will seriously thank you.

Enjoy the build-up today, wear your shirts with pride, and let's get behind the team tonight! 🦁
