Silletts Funeral Service established 1875. A family business with six generations of experience. Why choose Silletts? Because we are good at what we do!

Independent sixth generation family owned funeral service established in 1875. With branches in Radcliffe, in the Metropolitan Borough of Bury, Manchester and Little Lever Bolton. Carrying on the family tradition is a way of life for us, our business is one of the area's oldest continuously operated funeral services. We have a long and proud history of service to our community. We arrange funerals of all different types, from simple arrangements to very traditional funerals. Some people like to do things differently & we can help with all the many options available today.

Today we joined the global Wave of Light by lighting a candle in memory of all babies lost during pregnancy or after birth.

100% of the profits from these Plum & Ashby candles go to Tommys charity, helping fund vital research into preventing baby loss and supporting families affected. 🤍

Today marks 30 years of Nigel working at Silletts Funeral Service.

Our brother-in-law, uncle and a valued member of the team, he has spent three decades helping us care for local families.

We’re so grateful for his hard work, dedication and everything he has contributed to our family business over the years.

We understand that conversations about your own funeral can feel difficult or uncomfortable to have with the people closest to you, but making your wishes known can make things a little easier for your family when the time comes and ensures you have a funeral that reflects your life.

Our free advanced wishes service is for anyone who doesn’t want to commit to a pre paid funeral plan but would simply like the peace of mind of knowing their wishes are recorded somewhere. 🤍

You can complete our Advanced Wishes form using the link below in your own time, or if you’d prefer to come in and talk through your wishes with us, this can be arranged by appointment by calling us on:
0161 723 2383

The funeral you would want can only happen if somebody knows what that looks like.

Once completed, we recommend making your family and/or executor aware that you have recorded your wishes and provide them with a copy where appropriate.

We were each asked what Silletts Funeral Service means to us.

Five different answers, five different perspectives, but a shared sense of pride in being part of our family business and its 150-year history. 🤍
