“Honestly, after talking to my stepdaughter (who was downstairs just to make sure that the first visit goes smoothly and to support the new carers to get familiar with the environment) She said it was so far the best carer and she was really lovely with mum and also very professional. We had a wonderful time at The Deepings Bowling Association this week, where we were proud to give a talk as one of the club’s sponsors.

It was great to meet so many lovely people, answer plenty of questions, and have some meaningful conversations about home care and the support we provide at Easy Like Sunday Morning.

When people hear the words “home care” they often think of practical help.

But to us at Easy Like Sunday Morning, home care means so much more than that.

It means helping someone maintain their independence.

Sometimes care looks like preparing a favourite meal.
Sometimes it’s helping someone start their morning safely.
Sometimes it’s simply sitting down for a cup of tea and a meaningful conversation.

The little things matter.

We know inviting support into your home is a big decision for families, which is why we believe care should always feel personal, respectful, and compassionate, never rushed or impersonal.

Looking into care for a loved one can feel overwhelming.

Many families feel worry, guilt, uncertainty, or fear about “getting it right.” We understand that, and you are not alone.

At Easy Like Sunday Morning, we believe asking for support is not giving up independence, but what helps people maintain it.

Our role is not to take over someone’s life, but to support it with kindness, patience, and respect.

We take time to understand each person’s routines, preferences, and story, so care feels familiar, comforting, and personal.

Whether someone needs a little help each week or more regular support, we want families to feel reassured knowing their loved one is treated with dignity and compassion.

Sometimes the greatest comfort is simply knowing someone is there ❤️

Most people don't realise our company name comes from a song lyric.

The song is "Easy" by the Commodores, written by Lionel Richie in 1977. Lionel doesn't know we exist. We've been trying to fix that for the better part of a decade.

In 2022 he was due to play Nottingham. We had tickets. Then Covid cancelled the tour, and we never got our moment.

In 2019, Annie and I drove an Easy-branded car to Nocturne Live at Blenheim Palace to see him. He opened with "Running with the Night" and went straight into "Easy". It was magic. Then it took us 45 minutes to find our car in a field that was passing as a car park, and another hour to get out of it. We left the gig inspired to build a company worthy of the song that named it.

Three years on, on 20 August this year, Lionel Richie is playing Sandringham. We will be there. Third time lucky, we hope.

In the meantime, the company has grown and has a reputation for being efficient, friendly, caring and reliable; actual client feedback. The brand is, we hope, becoming worthy of its namesake.

We've written to his management firm. We've written to the tour agency. We're now writing here in case someone reading this happens to know someone who knows someone. We just want to say thank you, in person — a few minutes of his time would mean the world — to the man who accidentally named a business that now looks after some of the most vulnerable people across three counties.

Either way, we'll be there on the night, singing along with everyone else.

At Easy Like Sunday Morning, action isn't a campaign — it's the day job.
Every morning, our carers walk through doors across Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and do the small things that change the shape of someone's day: a familiar face, a cup of tea made the right way, a chat about yesterday's news, a gentle reminder about medication.
For someone living alone, that visit is mental wellbeing. For someone living with dementia, that consistency is everything.
1 in 3 people with dementia in the UK don't have a diagnosis — and our carers are often the first to gently notice the changes that matter, and to talk them through with families so support can start sooner rather than later.
This fortnight we're proud to stand with the Mental Health Foundation and the Alzheimer's Society. But we'll be showing up the week after, and the one after that. That's what embracing care looks like.
