🦠 Flu Vaccination Update
Thank you to everyone who has already re-booked their flu vaccination appointment! 🙌

We’re really pleased to see so many patients responding to our recent update and booking into our additional flu vaccination clinics.

Due to the national delay in the supply of flu vaccines across the UK, some of our original appointments have needed to be changed. We are continuing to add extra clinics as vaccine supplies become available.

👉 If you have received a new booking link but haven’t yet booked, please take a moment to book your new appointment.

If you are eligible for a flu vaccination and haven’t yet booked with us, please use the booking link provided to you or contact our Reception Team.

Our COVID vaccinations are continuing as planned, as COVID vaccine supplies have not been affected. Some COVID appointments may have been brought forwards where necessary.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we work through these national supply issues. We really appreciate everyone who has already re-booked and helped us manage the changes.

If you have a flu appointment already booked, please keep your appointment unless we contact you directly to make a change.

Flu Vaccine Update 📢
Due to a national delay in the supply of flu vaccines across the UK, we may need to make changes to some of our planned flu vaccination clinics. If you have an appointment between the 1st and the 16th October we will be contacting you to rearrange your appointment. We are adding additional clinics to enable new bookings for the flu vaccinations.

Our covid vaccinations will still be taking place as stock for this has not been affected, although your appointment maybe brought forwards.

If you already have a flu vaccine appointment booked, please do not contact the practice unless you have a specific query. We will contact all affected patients directly by text message with further information and, where necessary, a new appointment link.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience and understanding while we work through these supply issues.

To our dispensary patients - thank you for your patience over the last few months, we are now back to six working days to dispense medication.

Please note that the dispensary will be closed Monday 31 August 2026 due to the bank holiday (patients should continue to order medication as usual).

We’re delighted to welcome 11 new doctors to The Deepings Practice! 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️🩺

As a proud GP training practice, we are excited to welcome doctors at different stages of their training, including Foundation doctors and GP trainees across ST1, ST2 and ST3.

We love being a training practice and supporting doctors as they develop their skills, knowledge and confidence in general practice. Our new trainees bring enthusiasm, fresh ideas and a wealth of experience to our team, and we’re looking forward to working with them over the coming months. 💙

💊 Medicines Available to Buy Over the Counter

Did you know that GP practices generally do not prescribe medicines that can be bought from a pharmacy or supermarket, even if you qualify for free prescriptions?

Many common conditions can be safely treated with over-the-counter medicines and advice from your local pharmacist.

Please see the attached poster for examples of conditions and treatments available without a prescription.

Your pharmacist is a highly trained healthcare professional and can offer advice on the best treatment for your symptoms.

Thank you for helping us keep GP appointments and NHS resources available for those who need them most.
