This week is an opportunity to recognise the important role that the Patient Participation Groups (PPG) play in our GP practice.

PPGs bring patients and practice teams together to:

✅ Support service improvements
✅ Help shape care around local community needs

The PPG are in the practice the second Wednesday morning of every month. Please pop in and speak to them.

📢 Medication Collections at Glinton Dispensary

To help our dispensary team work efficiently and ensure prescriptions are processed as quickly as possible, we kindly ask patients only to attend Glinton Dispensary to collect medication after receiving a notification that it is ready for collection.

If you have any queries regarding your prescription, please contact us by telephone, chossing the dispensary option, or speak to our administration team at the hatch at Market Deeping Surgery.

Our staff at Glinton are experiencing frequent interruptions from medication enquiries, which is affecting their ability to complete essential dispensing work. Your cooperation will help us provide a better service for all patients.

are joining forces for Dementia Action Week.
Pop into the Deepings Practice between 10am-4pm this Thursday
21st May to speak with our friendly researchers on how you can support dementia research.

Over 25 million people in the UK have a friend or family member with dementia.
Research is vital for improving treatments and care for them. Anyone aged 18 or over can take part by signing up to Join Dementia Research – no diagnosis needed.

We are delighted to share that The Deepings Practice has been awarded a 5-star Quality Award through the Quality Early Warning Score (QEWS) programme, delivered by the Lincolnshire ICB Primary Care Quality Team. The QEWS framework recognises and celebrates the high standard of care provided by practices, while also supporting ongoing development across key areas such as Safe, Effective, Responsive, Caring, Equitable, Well-led, and Sustainable care. This achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of our team in delivering quality care to our patients, as well as our commitment to continuous improvement. We are proud that this award highlights both the excellent care we currently provide and our ongoing ambition to enhance services for our community.

Dr Elizabeth Knight

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Dr Elizabeth Knight.

Dr Knight retired from the practice around 25 years ago and had been a dedicated partner for many years before her retirement. She will be warmly remembered for her commitment to patient care and her valued contribution to the practice and community over the years.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with her family and loved ones at this difficult time.

Dr Knight’s funeral will take place in Barnack on Thursday 29th May at 1pm.

Staff have been handling prescription requests, reviewing hospital letters and test results, supporting vaccination clinics, and continuing work to improve our systems and services for patients.
