POSTCARDS FROM THE FUTURE: FREE CREATIVE WRITING WORKSHOPS FOR CHILDREN AGED 7-11

Read Now Write Now has teamed up with Wirral Libraries to run FREE workshops where children can learn about what life could be like in 2050 and get creative by writing a short, inspiring story and designing an illustration about the future.

Workshop details:
📍Birkenhead Library: Saturday 12th September, 2.30m to 4.30pm
📍Wallasey Library: Saturday 19th September, 10am to 12pm
📍West Kirby Library: Saturday 19th September, 2.30pm to 4.30pm
📍Bebington Library: Saturday 26th September, 2.30pm to 4.30pm

Referrals are now open for the next group and 1:1 Reiki sessions at RISE Young Minds Sanctuary.

This project is free for children and young people aged 8-17 who are experiencing difficulties with their mental and emotional wellbeing.

The service offers a safe, non-clinical space and includes an initial mental health consultation to ensure the support is appropriate. Where needed, further signposting to other services may be provided.

RISE Young Minds Sanctuary is led by professionals with over 40 years of combined experience in NHS Children and Young People's Mental Health Services.

RISE Young Minds Sanctuary is offering a free 4-week group programme for children and young people experiencing challenges with mental and emotional wellbeing.

Sessions will include mindfulness, meditation, grounding techniques, relaxing Reiki sessions, coping strategies, and practical tools to support emotional regulation, confidence and self-esteem.
