A fantastic week 3 at The Acorns Primary and Nursery School looking at compass and natural navigation using a shadow stick. The kids picked up these skills incredibly quickly and spent time guiding Jon around our map of mini islands 🏝️ 🧭

Everyman Tribe Flintshire... What is it?

Our Everyman Tribe Flintshire is an 8 week course, 1x 2 hour session per week for men 18+.

Each week is different giving you the opportunity to learn and try a range of Bushcraft, Heritage and Outdoor Survival skills as well as looking at ways to help improve our wellbeing to navigate our day to day lives between the sessions.

The sessions are laid back with a maximum group of 8. It's not a boot camp actually it's the complete opposite.

We're not weird about it either, we're men of all ages from all walks of life who have got involved and gone on to find new hobbies, careers and friends, all by taking that first step to sit around the fire.

You'll never be greeted by anything more than a handshake and a brew, although we do get some huggers and some men that a handshake is too much, it's your preference.

At the end of the course (or before if you want to) you'll be welcomed into the Wilderness Tribe community, either by attending social sessions like Bushcraft & Brews, Range/Target Sports, Forest Forge and much more and/or through our WhatsApp community.

Hopefully you're still reading to find out the most important part. IT'S FREE, no catches, no surprises when you arrive, all fully funded.

The next course starts on Wednesday 8th July. There are two groups you can choose from 3-5pm or 6-8pm.

Mae pob wythnos yn wahanol gan roi'r cyfle i chi ddysgu a rhoi cynnig ar amrywiaeth o sgiliau Crefft y Goedwig, Treftadaeth a Goroesi Awyr Agored yn ogystal ag edrych ar ffyrdd o helpu i wella ein lles i lywio ein bywydau bob dydd rhwng y sesiynau.

Mae'r sesiynau'n hamddenol gyda grŵp o 8 ar y mwyaf. Nid gwersyll hyfforddi mohono mewn gwirionedd, mae'n hollol groes i hynny.

Week 2 at The Acorns Primary and Nursery School Stone age Jewellery with some modern twists and nature drawings!

We're loving our time with the groups, these groups of kids already know so much about checking in with how they feel and they're very talented at the skills so far, they've genuinely all made it look easy 🔥🪨

Join us for a Birdwatching Walk from our woodland around local area on Monday 6th July.

- Guided by an RSPB local guide
- Open to adults 18+ with a Flintshire postcode
- A chance to share & learn together.
- Focus on noticing in nature.
- Free bird chart will be provided to help you identify them on the way 🦤🐦
- Mon 6th July
- 6-8pm
- Meeting at our woodland: Hall Lane, Soughton

The walk will be around 1 hr and take in a local public footpath track and looping through a field (This is subject to change depending on weather conditions etc)

Two more great sessions with primary school kids in Ellesmere Port. Looking at ways to check in, notice and draw things in nature and stone arrow jewellery making. The children in the groups are amazing at getting stuck in to everything we've done so far.

Today in Blacon.....

We started with the Young Carers after-school club who very proudly coppiced the first pieces of Hazel to be used as posts on the roundhouse project.

Then at Bushcraft on the Estate, it was a bit more of the same + Adam & Jon cooking up a campfire roast dinner baguette 🔥

Some woodland maintenance this morning upgrading our toilet facilities, cleaning some of the yard area, clearing the yurt roof and a tidy up in the woods 🌳

Join us in Blacon on Tuesday 16th June, 6-8pm as we get started on a new project to build a small roundhouse structure in the woodland that we use.

We're going to build this over a few sessions mixed between working with the children at the school and the Mens 18+, Bushcraft on the Estate session.

As well as this we'll have the normal session running with a campfire roast dinner.
