Men Talk

Men Talk Men's support group where men can connect, share, and grow together.

19/08/2026

What a fantastic first Men Talk session last night at Bowland Bikes CIC in Clitheroe! 🙌

We had 8 of us men come together, sharing stories, having a chat, a laugh and most importantly, creating a space where we can talk openly without judgement. 🗣️❤️

A massive thank you to everyone who came along and made the first session such a positive one.

And a huge thank you to Philip Wade, who will be leading our Men Talk sessions going forward. We really appreciate you giving your time, experience and support to help create a safe space for men to come together and talk. 👏💙

This is exactly what Men Talk is all about — getting men together, talking, supporting each other and reminding each other that it's okay to not be okay.

This is only the beginning… 💪

Now that the weather has turned lovely, we’ve been making great use of the Hodge House Community Garden.

We’ve had two Campfire Conversations so far—
The first one included a proper fire 🔥
This Thursday we enjoyed a BBQ 🍔

These sessions have been brilliant, and everyone has thoroughly enjoyed them. For us, the setting is always really important, and the Community Garden has been perfect.

Even better—we got the chance to use some tools and skills, including knives, axes, and flint & steel.

Join us for our next Campfire Conversations on the 30th July, 6pm at Hodge House Community Centre

Reminder: our next session is tomorrow evening, the 4th of June, at Hodge House Community Centre, 6pm.

Guest Alert**: Tomorrow we have Addy from Northwest Golf Series ⛳️ joining us. He’s our guest for the second time.

We’ve noticed that the majority of our special guests have become regulars, so we must be doing something right.

Please join us—there’s nothing to worry about. Everyone is friendly.

We are fully confidential; what’s said in the group stays in the group.

Plus we always feed everyone so you will leave with a belly full 🙂

See you there!

Tonight’s session featured our special guest, Shouib, a Dietitian affiliated with the NHS who also operates his own food preparation business.

We were pleased to welcome Shouib and grateful to Hodge House Community Centre for hosting and providing the opportunity to sample his creations. The food was truly delicious and of high nutritional value.

We highly recommend Shouib’s meals to everyone. Click the link below and like the page 🙂

We had a highly successful session tonight, with a full house.

Tonight was particularly special due to the cheque presentation.

Eesa Raja recently competed in an Ultra MMA fight, raising an impressive £1,090.

Thomas Durkin completed the Manchester Marathon in 4 hours 20 minutes, raising £514.

A special shout-out to Hodge House Community Centre for generously supporting the food; the lads loved the meals and left with bellies full.

We are deeply grateful to these dedicated lads for their hard work and generosity in support of Men Talk and WALK and TALK. As a self-funded community group, donations are essential, and these contributions have positively impacted our entire community. Thank you to both of you. 🖤
