A moment of reflection.
I’m currently listening to an audible called The Gap and the Gain.
In a nut shell the gap focuses on what is missing.
The gain focuses on what has been achieved. It’s easy to forget how far you’ve come if you’re constantly chasing the next step.

It has made me reflect on a comment that was made by a “friend”
“You don’t get many likes on your posts do you?”😬🥺
( newsflash she doesn’t like my posts either)

So, to clarify.

I don’t get hundreds of likes on every post.

That’s okay.

I know you’re watching.

I don’t have tens of thousands of followers.

That’s okay too.

I’ve never been interested in collecting followers from all over the world. I’d rather have a smaller audience of local people who are genuinely interested in skin health, ageing well, and the treatments I provide.

I don’t follow every trend.

I don’t spend hours creating elaborate reels. That must be exhausting.

I don’t dance on TikTok.

I don’t copy what everyone else is doing.

Why?

Because my priority isn’t social media.

It’s my clients.

It’s education.

It’s continuous learning.

It’s delivering safe, natural results.

The truth is, social media can make us believe that bigger is better.

More followers.

More views.

More likes.

But likes don’t pay the bills.

Views don’t create results.

And followers don’t automatically create a successful business.

A full diary does.

Happy clients do.

Trust does.

Reputation does.

I’d rather be known by the people I serve than by people scrolling past me on the other side of the world.

So if you’re one of the people quietly reading, learning, liking the occasional post and supporting my business, thank you. 🙏

You’re the audience that matters.😘

Ps if you’re always chasing,listen/ read this. It’s food for thought.

One of the biggest mistakes I see is people looking for a single treatment that “solves ageing.”

The truth is, that treatment doesn’t exist.

Ageing isn’t caused by one thing. Skin quality changes. Collagen production slows down. Pigmentation develops. Facial volume shifts. Skin laxity increases.

They’re all different processes.

That’s why I often talk about the difference between skin and volume.

Treatments that improve skin quality can make your skin healthier, brighter and stronger. But they don’t necessarily address volume loss, sagging or structural changes. They’re different concerns and often need different approaches.

The people who tend to age best aren’t usually the ones chasing every new trend that appears on social media.

They’re the ones who consistently wear SPF, use evidence based skincare, look after their health and make sensible treatment choices over time.

That’s the real secret.

Not hype.
Not miracle treatments.
Not the latest fad.

Just consistency, patience and good skin science.

What do you think has made the biggest difference to your skin over the years?

04/06/2026

Not every skin concern needs the same treatment, and one of the biggest mistakes I see is people choosing treatments based on trends rather than what their face actually needs.

Different concerns require different approaches.

For example:

🩷 Skin texture and dehydration may benefit from Profhilo
🩷 Fine lines and wrinkles may suit anti-wrinkle treatment
🩷 Tired under-eyes may improve with polynucleotides
🩷 Facial sagging and jowls may benefit from facial contouring or microcurrent
🩷 Lip definition can often be restored subtly with natural lip filler

The best results happen when treatments are tailored correctly, with the goal of natural, balanced rejuvenation.

No overfilled look.
No one-size-fits-all approach.
Just personalised treatments designed around you.

Sometimes the right treatment is actually less treatment, just done properly.

Why can two women have exactly the same concern, but need completely different treatments?

Let’s say both women tell me:

“I look tired.”

One may benefit from improving skin quality and hydration.

Another may have concerns that are better addressed through skin rejuvenation treatments.

Another may simply have strong muscle movement creating a heavier appearance.

Same concern.
Different cause.
Different solution.

This is one of the biggest misconceptions in aesthetics.

People often think there is a treatment for a problem.

But the truth is, there is a treatment for the cause of the problem.

That’s why natural-looking results aren’t about copying somebody else’s treatment plan or following the latest trend.

They’re about understanding what YOUR face actually needs.

Which is exactly why I’ve been working on something behind the scenes…

A free guide called:

“What treatment do I actually need?”

It’s finally finished.

Happy 9th birthday, Body Bonito! 🎉

Today marks 9 whole years since I opened the doors to my own clinic, and honestly, I’m not quite sure where that time has gone.

Over the last 9 years, there have been plenty of highs and a few challenges along the way. I’ve laughed, I’ve cried, I’ve celebrated successes, and I’ve watched other businesses sadly close their doors. Running a small business is never always easy, but it has been one of the most rewarding journeys of my life.

What makes it all worthwhile is you.

I’ve had the privilege of welcoming so many wonderful clients through my doors over the years. Some of you have followed me across multiple premises, some have been with me from the very beginning, and many of you have become genuine friends along the way.

Thank you for trusting me with your treatments, your confidence, your stories, and sometimes even your life updates while you’re laying in the treatment room.

Your loyalty, support, recommendations, likes, shares, and kind words have helped Body Bonito grow into what it is today. I never take that for granted.

Whether you’ve visited once, been coming for years, recommended a friend, or simply supported me from afar, thank you. Every single one of you has played a part in this journey.

Here’s to the last 9 years, and to many more ahead. 🥂

With lots of gratitude 😘

Today was one of those days I’ll never forget.

Watching my husband and all three of my children jump out of a plane was equal parts terrifying and amazing! 🪂

Another bucket list adventure ticked off the list, and thankfully they all landed safely, which definitely helped my blood pressure! 😅

Life has a funny way of reminding us that some of the best memories come from doing the things that scare us a little.

What’s still on your bucket list? 🪂

A free guide called:

"What treatment do I actually need?"

It's designed to help women understand the different roles of Botox, filler, skin boosters, microneedling, chemical peels and skincare, and why the best results come from having the right plan rather than simply having more treatment.

It's nearly finished.

If you'd be interested in receiving a copy when it's ready, comment GUIDE below and I'll make sure you're one of the first to know when it’s ready.

Now before you go and get all excited, I haven't been given a job as JLOs makeup artist (yet) 🤣this is for illustrative purposes only.

The image on the left is the genuine image. And I think it should be celebrated. She looks incredible. Fresh, glowing,
REAL skin.

The image on the right took a fellow industry injector all of four minutes to produce to demonstrate what's going on and what I see on social media everyday. And it drives me nuts.

Why do I care you might ask? And is it any of my business?

I care because I see the impact that the image on the right has on people's confidence. I see the extreme measures they want to take to try and achieve something that's quite literally unavailable because it's not real.

I also see girls confidence completely damaged because they feel like no matter what makeup product they buy they just never quite live up to looking like this.
But the reality is no one looks like this without a heavy filter and a date with Facetune or similar AI software.

It has the same effect on fellow injectors confidence that these images below have on the general public.

They are left feeling like their own results are crap, they can't be very good at what they do and embarrassed to share.

Such a shame we buy into the bu****it....

I can absolutely hand on my heart promise you I have never ever edited a single picture.

Every before and after I have ever shared is a genuine result.

Frieda hated this little horn-like growth on her nose, known as a cutaneous horn.
And honestly, I completely understood why.

Just because someone is in their 70s doesn’t mean they stop caring about how they look or feel. Confidence matters at every age.

She’d previously been told removal wasn’t available on the NHS as it was considered cosmetic, and another clinic had quoted around £500 for treatment.

So she came to see me.

Less than 15 minutes later… it was gone.
No drama.
Minimal downtime.
And one very happy lady looking in the mirror again.

Sometimes it’s not about vanity.
It’s about feeling comfortable in your own skin.

And those “small things” that bother someone?
They rarely feel small to the person living with them every day.

Will everyone notice?
A question I hear often….

People often look at side by side before and after photos and think the changes look dramatic.
And sometimes they do.

But real life is completely different.

When you’re out living your everyday life, nobody is walking around with your “before” photo in their head comparing it to how you look now 😅

People are busy thinking about their own lives, their shopping list, what’s for dinner, and whether they replied to that text from three days ago.

This is actually something I studied at a deeper level during my Level 7 Advanced Aesthetics qualification, and I wanted to share it because I think it’s really important.

Side by side photos create a very unnatural viewing experience.
The brain is being asked to actively search for differences, so even subtle changes can suddenly appear far more dramatic.

But in normal day to day life, people aren’t analysing your face like that.

In fact, I had a client recently who felt disappointed because nobody had commented on her treatment.

But here’s the thing…
Nobody saying “have you had work done?” is often a sign the treatment was done beautifully.

People may simply think:
“You look well.”
“You look fresh.”
“You look happy.”
“There’s something different about you.”

They notice the overall effect, not necessarily the treatment itself.

That’s why good aesthetic work can often be almost undetectable.
You don’t necessarily look “done”.
You just look fresher, healthier, less tired, softer, brighter… like the best version of yourself.

And personally, I think that’s the sweet spot.
