A moment of reflection.
I’m currently listening to an audible called The Gap and the Gain.
In a nut shell the gap focuses on what is missing.
The gain focuses on what has been achieved. It’s easy to forget how far you’ve come if you’re constantly chasing the next step.
It has made me reflect on a comment that was made by a “friend”
“You don’t get many likes on your posts do you?”😬🥺
( newsflash she doesn’t like my posts either)
So, to clarify.
I don’t get hundreds of likes on every post.
That’s okay.
I know you’re watching.
I don’t have tens of thousands of followers.
That’s okay too.
I’ve never been interested in collecting followers from all over the world. I’d rather have a smaller audience of local people who are genuinely interested in skin health, ageing well, and the treatments I provide.
I don’t follow every trend.
I don’t spend hours creating elaborate reels. That must be exhausting.
I don’t dance on TikTok.
I don’t copy what everyone else is doing.
Why?
Because my priority isn’t social media.
It’s my clients.
It’s education.
It’s continuous learning.
It’s delivering safe, natural results.
The truth is, social media can make us believe that bigger is better.
More followers.
More views.
More likes.
But likes don’t pay the bills.
Views don’t create results.
And followers don’t automatically create a successful business.
A full diary does.
Happy clients do.
Trust does.
Reputation does.
I’d rather be known by the people I serve than by people scrolling past me on the other side of the world.
So if you’re one of the people quietly reading, learning, liking the occasional post and supporting my business, thank you. 🙏
You’re the audience that matters.😘
Ps if you’re always chasing,listen/ read this. It’s food for thought.
