Today we have enjoyed crafting, we made beautiful beach huts using lolly sticks, painting and decorating them for our new summer themed display.
We also added luggage tags to our memory tree after discussions on what we associate summer with and what we can remember our summer holidays being like, a lovely start to our display.

Parliament passed the School Milk Act
which ordered the issue of one-third of
a pint of milk free to all pupils under
eighteen. Harold Wilson withdrew free
school milk from secondary schools in
1968 and Margaret Thatcher extended
this in 1971 earning the title 'Milk -
Snatcher'
Well nobody 'snatched' our milk today as we taste tested delicious flavours, white chocolate and raspberry/triple chocolate and banana were a few of our favourites.
We discussed the old milkmans role, his transport and reminiscing about collecting in our old bottles and chasing the milk man down for some orange juice.

Today we made and played a very funny 'whack a mole' game with staff.
The residents found it absolutely hilarious after they realised the aim of the game and reassured that no team member would be hurt in the process.
Definitely different and highly entertaining. ๐Ÿ˜†

Our fabulous optician popped in today to start our all important eye testing, he came packed up with lots of peculiar equipment that we found very fascinating, he then left with a few new prescription glasses to order, to help keep our sight and eye health tip top.

After our Day out, Pats first port of call was to visit his friend Geoff, a hand shake and hello led to geoff telling Pat to sit down, Pat then relayed the outing to Geoff who listened intently.
A lovely moment between them and such a heartwarming interaction, full of wellness benefits for both involved.
