💙 Father’s Day Remembrance 💙

A gentle reminder that our Memorial Tree is located in the Waiting Room and is now available for Father’s Day.

We warmly invite you to hang a blue heart in memory of a much-loved dad, grandfather, or father figure. Whether you choose to write a name, a special message, or simply take a quiet moment to reflect, our Memorial Tree offers a meaningful way to honour those who are forever in our hearts.

💙 Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever remembered.

From all the team at Counties Crematorium.

Today, on World Environment Day, we're reflecting on the importance of protecting and enhancing the natural spaces that surround us 🌎

Alongside being a place of remembrance, our crematoria is also a peaceful green space that provides a sanctuary for visitors, local wildlife, and the wider community. We are truly committed to creating environments that honour loved ones while supporting nature too.

Every tree planted, habitat protected, and sustainable practice adopted helps us play our part in preserving these special spaces for future generations.

As we remember those who have passed, we are also reminded of our responsibility to care for the world around us 💚

We are fortunate to share our beautiful grounds with a variety of wildlife, bringing moments of peace and comfort to those who visit.

Here are just a few photographs of some of the wonderful creatures that call our gardens home. From birdsong in the trees to wildlife quietly exploring the grounds, these special visitors are a gentle reminder of the beauty and continuity of nature.

For many, summer is a season of joy - spending time outdoors, enjoying the sunshine and making memories with family and friends ☀️

But for those navigating grief, bereavement or missing a loved one, this time of year can also feel incredibly difficult and isolating.

If you’re feeling that way, please know you are not alone 🤍

One thing we are very proud of is being able to offer our beautiful grounds as a peaceful and welcoming space for reflection, remembrance and quiet moments. Whether your loved one is resting with us or not, you are always welcome to visit, sit quietly and take time for yourself 🌿🕊️

🌿 Poem of the Week 🌿

This week, here at Counties Crematorium, we have chosen the beautiful poem “Legacy of Love.”

This touching poem reminds us that the greatest gift we leave behind is not measured in possessions, but in the love, kindness, and memories we share with others. It speaks of the lasting impact a loved one has on our lives and how their presence continues to be felt long after they are gone.

For many families, a legacy of love is found in treasured memories, shared laughter, words of wisdom, and the countless acts of care that remain in our hearts forever.

We hope this week’s poem brings comfort and reflection to all who read it, and serves as a gentle reminder that love never truly leaves us—it continues to live on in those whose lives have been touched.

And when the sun shines down across the grounds, those spaces can feel even more peaceful and comforting, as they continue to hold special memories☀️

Step into the memorial grounds,
And the world begins to quiet 🌿

The gentle breeze, the singing birds,
The softness of the flowers in bloom.

For a little while,
Nothing else seems to exist,
Except peace, reflection,
And the feeling of being close to those we love

Everyone is welcome to visit the crematorium and experience the moments of calm that it creates.
