Dad is quiet today. He is going to have times when he is deep in thought or just doesn't feel like chatting much and that's ok.

We sit having our cuppa. I think of everything he has been through with his health and the sudden loss of mum in 2022 then losing Liz to cancer last year.

His recent mechanical fall has shaken him up which is understandable but he pushes on in his own way💪.

Sitting here thinking at dad's whilst he's resting after a nasty mechanical fall Sunday evening. Thanks to the family members who cared for him and the paramedics/hospital staff too. 🙏

At any age a fall can take its toll let alone for someone who is 88. With plenty of rest and care (plus dad's "can do") attitude he will push on and bounce back as soon as he's recovered in himself 💪

The reason we all keep going is for mum and Liz 💖

When family members cross paths over a sensitive issue it can raise an array of emotions including anger.

We are all individuals and unique with our own opinions and that's ok.

It's ok to set boundaries and to stick with them.

It's not okay to absorb negative energy.
