We have Faye in clinic now on Wednesdays providing massage therapy. Not only is she super talented, she’s also super lovely. We can highly recommend her 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. She’s treated Sara our Osteopath and she definitely feels much better for it.

Last day of Breast Cancer Awareness month…..but we should still keep talking about it tomorrow and the next day after that.

In August, Sara our osteopath and clinic owner had to have a mammogram and ultrasound after finding a breast lump (fortunately no cause for concern). It’s important to check your breast tissue monthly (guys this means you as well) and understand what your normal feels like. Yes, there will be changes through your hormone cycle.

Look out for….
*Tenderness, swelling or lumps in breast tissue and/or under armpits.
*Changes to breast size/shape, discolouration or texture including dimpling (orange peel effect).
*Changes to ni***es such as discharge, rash or inversion (pulled inwards).

If you have any concerns, get your breasts checked with your GP ASAP.

We only have a couple of slots left for appointments this week, so if there’s something you are putting off, get in touch ASAP.

As a reminder, we are in clinic all this week and will then be having a well earned Christmas/New Year break. We will return raring to go Jan 8th 💪💪.

🫀🦵💪 Wow, who knew, wall squats and plank exercises help to lower blood pressure the most (when compared to aerobic, resistance and weight training exercises).

It recommends including 2 mins of the exercise, followed by 2 minutes rest, repeated 4 times into your routine. Aiming to do this 3 times per week.

Article is in the BBC today. A nice one to try at home. If you can’t do 2 minutes, that’s ok, do what you can and build up the time progressively.

So often we hear people say ’i wish I’d booked in sooner’ once they’ve had treatment and feel better. Don’t keep putting off your pain.

April is stress awareness month. It’s important to look for ways to reduce stress in your life. Sara our osteopath decided to enjoy the fresh air walking in the Peak District yesterday around Eyam……..which turned into a lot of giggles because of all the rain, mud and puddles we encountered on route! This definitely increased the heart rate a bit but in a good way!! 🤣🤣

Thank goodness it all ended well and she’s not on fb for all the wrong reasons phew! 🙌

Nothing like fresh air, exercise and a good giggle with lovely people to decrease the stress levels.

Have a think what you can do this month to reduce your stress.
