Controlling your temperature is a major battle during perimenopause.
We're not just talking about hot flushes, I personally have never experienced these (yet).
The liver is a major organ in hormone production AND regulation, but works much harder during perimenopause. It's also the reason why lots of women suddenly go off alcohol, as we just cannot process it.

Anyways, our superking duvet days were numbered....
So we explored options.

I prefer a natural product and ordered a 100% wool summer quilt by
Whilst my husband being the science geek adores his 4+7 tog duvet.
We've had this sleeping arrangement a year now and it's still going strong.

Wool has both a insulating and cooling effect and naturally anti-microbial. It's why you see those wool linings in prams, even in the heat of summer!
I add an extra throw for the winter, but my summer duvet has served me really well through the summer too.

In perimenopause, having HRT alone isn't the key.

A good digestive tract is SUPER important and exercise helps this.
Movement massages your digestive system i.e. intestines and this helps you p**p.
If you can't p**p, you can't get rid of your toxins, this build up can be expressed elsewhere.

Side note: A key example is eczema, our digestive tract often doesn't work well, so our toxin build up gets expressed in our skin.

I digress, in the case of HRT where hormone absorption is key, this can't happen if our digestive tract isn't on point.

Here I'm doing 5 rounds of a variation Cindy (5 pull ups/shoulder shrugs, 10 push ups, 15 air squats/30 alternate lunges). It literally took me 10 minutes!

1. if it's sore to touch, it's probablt swollen and inflamed.
2. if it's cold to touch, it's cold enough to use as a cold compress.

For my HRT PATCH ladies.
I've just tried the previously mentioned 6 x 7 cm second skin over my new Everol 75 patch and it fits!
It does take a bit of precision as there's only a few mm of leeway on the 6cm width. But, it does fit!
I've also found the stickiness on thr 75 aren't as good, this might be a batch issue though.

Just a few top tips which have helped me when I moved ro HRT patches.

The clear film dressings can be bought off amazon, just make sure you get the right size!
