Notts Osteopathy Alex Szabo at Notts Osteopathy offers diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of medical conditions

Osteopathy is a system of diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of medical conditions. It works with the structure and function of the body, and is based on the principle that the well-being of an individual depends on the skeleton, muscles, ligaments and connective tissues functioning smoothly together.

Hydration isn't just important when the weather is hot.
Water plays a role in supporting muscles, joints, circulation and overall wellbeing.

Many people notice increased fatigue, headaches and muscular tightness when they're dehydrated.

As temperatures rise this summer, here's your friendly reminder to top up that water bottle.

Your body will thank you.

One of the questions we're asked most often is:

"What actually happens during an osteopathy appointment?"

Every patient is different, but treatment typically begins with a discussion about your symptoms, lifestyle and medical history before a thorough assessment.

Treatment may involve hands-on techniques, movement advice, stretches and exercises designed to help you move more comfortably and confidently.

No two treatment plans are exactly the same because no two people are exactly the same.

How do you like to stay active during the summer months?

🚶 Walking
🚴 Cycling
🏊 Swimming
🌿 Gardening
⛳ Golf
🏃 Running

The human body is designed to move. In fact, one of the most common reasons people experience stiffness is simply not moving enough.

Movement helps keep joints mobile, muscles strong and the body functioning at its best.

So tell us — what's your favourite way to keep moving when the weather is good?

If you're starting the week feeling a little stiff, achy or uncomfortable, it might be worth asking yourself one simple question:

When was the last time you gave your body some proper care and attention?

Every day, your body works hard for you — whether you're sitting at a desk, driving, exercising, lifting, gardening or simply keeping up with the demands of everyday life.

We wouldn't expect a car to keep running smoothly without regular maintenance, yet many of us ignore the warning signs when our own bodies start to complain.

Aches, pains and stiffness aren't always something you just have to put up with.

If your body has been asking for a little extra support, osteopathic treatment could help you move more comfortably and get back to doing the things you enjoy.

Here's to starting the week feeling your best. 💙

One of the most rewarding parts of being an osteopath is seeing people return to doing the things they enjoy.

Whether that's walking further, sleeping better, getting back to sport, working comfortably or simply moving without constantly thinking about pain, every improvement matters.

Thank you to everyone who takes the time to leave a review and share their experience. Your feedback means a great deal and helps others take that first step towards feeling better.

If you've been putting up with a problem for longer than you should, perhaps now is the time to see what could change.

How's your posture looking today?

If you've spent hours at a desk, hunched over a laptop or scrolling on your phone, your body may already be feeling the effects.

Poor posture can contribute to:

✔ Neck pain
✔ Shoulder tension
✔ Headaches
✔ Upper back discomfort
✔ General stiffness

The good news is that small changes can make a big difference. Regular movement, proper workstation setup and osteopathic treatment can all help reduce the strain modern life places on your body.

Your posture doesn't need to be perfect — but your body shouldn't have to work harder than necessary.

June is the month when many of us start spending more time outdoors.

Whether it's walking, cycling, gardening, playing with the children, enjoying a round of golf or planning days out with family and friends, summer is a time to get moving.

But if aches, pains or stiffness are making you think twice about doing the things you enjoy, it may be time to address the problem rather than simply putting up with it.

At Notts Osteopathy, we help people improve mobility, reduce discomfort and get back to doing more of what they love.

Don't let pain dictate your plans this summer.

Today is International Children’s Day 🌟

Did you know that osteopathy isn’t just for adults? We also support children and young people through many of the physical changes that occur during their growing years.

As children grow, their bodies develop rapidly, and sometimes issues with posture, movement, or musculoskeletal development can arise. Osteopathic treatment may help support healthy movement, improve comfort, and assist with conditions such as scoliosis.

Early assessment and appropriate management can make a real difference, helping children and adolescents stay active, comfortable, and confident as they grow.

If you have concerns about your child’s posture, mobility, or musculoskeletal health, we're always happy to answer your questions.

Happy Friday! ☀️

The hot weather is showing no signs of disappearing just yet, and while many of us are enjoying the sunshine, it can also highlight those aches, pains and niggles that have been quietly lurking in the background.

Whether it's gardening, long walks, DIY projects, sport, or simply sleeping awkwardly in the heat, your body can sometimes let you know it's not entirely happy.

So this weekend, remember to:
💧 Stay hydrated
🚶 Keep moving
🌳 Take breaks when you need them
🤸 Listen to what your body is telling you

And if pain or stiffness is stopping you enjoying the things you love, don't just put up with it. Osteopathic treatment may be able to help you move more comfortably and get back to doing what matters most.

Have a fantastic weekend and enjoy the sunshine while it lasts! ☀️😊
