🖤 FIRST CALL INTO-CARE CASUAL OPERATIVES 🖤

This is a highly important role supporting families during difficult times and requires dignity, sensitivity, professionalism, and the highest standards of care at all times.

We are looking for individuals who are:

• Respectful and compassionate
• Professional and reliable
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
• Committed to maintaining exceptional standards of care

Applicants must:

• Hold a full and valid UK driving licence (automatic licences accepted)
• Be able to attend our NG8 base within 45 minutes of the initial call whilst on duty.
• Be aged 25 or over
• Be willing to undergo a DBS check (completed for successful applicants)
• Have a minimum of 1 year’s experience within the funeral industry

Due to continued growth, T Hemsell Repatriation Services is looking for compassionate, professional, and respectful First Call Into-Care Casual Operatives to join our team.

Please note: this is a CASUAL position, therefore hours and work cannot be guaranteed due to the nature of the role. However, we do require a minimum of one week’s notice should you no longer be available to work with us.

Multiple vacancies are currently available, with further opportunities becoming available over time.

Successful applicants will be required to provide shift cover across the following times:

• 00:00hrs – 08:00hrs
• 08:00hrs – 17:00hrs
• 17:00hrs – 00:00hrs

Due to the sensitive nature of this role, all candidates must demonstrate professionalism, discretion, respect, and reliability at all times.

While Theron (Fez) travels down to Devon to bring a loved one safely home to the Midlands today...

Andy and Jason have been working through the night, carrying out the important role of bringing loved ones into care with the utmost dignity, compassion, and respect.

No matter the hour, their dedication and professionalism never go unnoticed, providing comfort and reassurance to families during some of life’s most difficult moments.

A Special thank you to all three of you for their commitment, care, and the outstanding work they continue to do behind the scenes every single day.

As always, a special thank you to Chloe and Verity, whose hard work and dedication helps ensure everything runs smoothly with care, and compassion every step of the way.

Recently we opened up Two Little Stars - Sibling Memory Boxes together alongside T. Hemsell Repatriation today we sadly delivered our first box.

This morning we received our first request for one of our memory boxes for a young boy who had recently lost his older brother. It was something we hadn’t prepared for, but we quickly came together to make sure we could provide something special for him.

Although we specialise in memory boxes for siblings who have lost a baby brother or sister, this request has really opened our eyes to the importance of supporting children who have lost older siblings too.

The request came in this morning, and by 4pm the box was ready to be delivered.

Once again, thank you to everyone who supports us and helps make this possible. Without your kindness and generosity, we simply couldn’t do what we do.

There are no words that can ease the pain of losing a child. Sometimes this can be made even worse during this unimaginable time if the loss occurs in a place that is far from your own town.

Wherever loss occurs our role is simply to work closely with hospitals, funeral directors and child bereavement charities to help to provide a safe passage to bring your child home.

In moments where you need to support families following the loss of their child away from their home, careful and professional handling with compassion and care is essential. We understand the responsibility involved when a child is entrusted into our care. Every journey is carried out with the highest level of care. We only use our discreet Volvo V90 Hearsette and as all vehicles are fully tracked we have the ability to provide reassurance both to families and those supporting them.

Fez is travelling north to Carlisle, while Mollie is making her way south to Surrey, with our on-call team remaining ready to respond across the East Midlands.
