This week marks Men's Mental Health Awareness Week. We are supporting 'Lets break the SILENCE on su***de' campaign run by NottAlone. There is strength in saying "I'm not ok" please reach out and talk to someone β™₯️

Is a friend acting differently? πŸ€”

You want to talk to them about it, but you’re not sure what to say?
Sometimes, just starting a conversation can feel like the hardest part.

Here are a few simple ways to open the door:
πŸ’ Ask gentle questions like β€œare you okay?” β€” and don’t be afraid to ask again.
πŸ’ Share what you’ve noticed (changes in behaviour) rather than making assumptions.
πŸ’ Let them know you’re there, even if they’re not ready to talk yet.
πŸ’ Choose calm, low pressure settings and shared activities (like going for a walk), and make sure they can step away if they need to.

These tips - and much more - are covered in the latest episode of The NottAlone Podcast, where hosts Dr Maddi and Dr Orlaith discuss how to start a conversation with someone you’re worried about and why talking about mental health matters.

This short 22-minute bonus episode has been released for Mental Health Awareness Week, to help get people talking about mental health, and to remind you that you don’t have to have all the answers to start a conversation and make a difference.
