Church Farm Care

Church Farm Care Church Farm Care is a specialist dementia care provider and a Living Wage employer.

Church Farm Nursing Home Ltd is a family owned company of four homes in Cotgrave, West Bridgford and Radcliffe on Trent. We specialise in the care of people living with a dementia in three of the homes and provide high quality residential, nursing care and palliative care in the fourth. We believe that each person is an individual with a life history that we respect. Helping people to feel at home, safe, secure and loved with the feeling that every day can be well-lived is what drives us.

World Cocktail Day was certainly one to remember. Our family members shook, stirred, mixed, poured – and drank! – their very own cocktails, having lots of fun in the process!

A great way to let their hair down, have fun and spend quality time with their friends, we think it might just be one of their favourite awareness days…

It’s always lovely to see Church Farm Care featured in the local press, with Nottingham World and the Mansfield and Ashfield Chad covering our farewell to three long-standing team members. 💚

Rosemary, Marie and Jacqueline have given an incredible 65 years of service between them, supporting residents, families and colleagues with kindness and dedication across our Nottinghamshire homes.

While we’re sad to see them retire, we’re proud to celebrate the impact they’ve made and wish them the best in their next chapter.

Thank you, from everyone at Church Farm Care.

Over at Skylarks, our family members had a wonderful time with Rise activities and exercises. They not only got to engage in a little friendly competition, but were also encouraged to use gentle movement, helping to build both their strength and confidence. 😊💪🏼

As part of Dementia Action Week activities, the lovely Hannah came in to sing for our family members. She brought along instruments for them to get fully involved, and they loved playing, singing and dancing along.

Music therapy is an essential part of dementia care, as it can reduce agitation, encourage socialisation, unlock memories and promote feelings of happiness 🎶

Over at Wren Hall, we’re delighted to announce a new 12-month initiative facilitated by the QICN – “Nurture With Nature”. 🍃

The aim is to focus on exploring meaningful activities through hands-on gardening, allowing family members to reap the benefits of being in nature.

Gardening promotes independence, encourages movement and provides a sense of purpose, making it a great all-round activity for both mental and physical health. 🪏🫜

Sun’s out, ice cream’s out! ☀️🍦

…Well, maybe the sun wasn’t actually out – but that didn’t stop us bringing the joy of an 'ice cream van' trolley to our Cotgrave home regardless!

Our trolley was a huge hit with family members, turning a simple treat into a fun and interactive experience.

From choosing their favourite flavours to sharing sweet childhood memories, it was a lovely way to spark conversation and smiles all round.
