We at the Pagan Federation are deeply concerned by the events this afternoon in North London and, more broadly, by the increasing pattern of antisemitic attacks on the Jewish community that we have seen.
During this period of uncertainty and distress, both at home and around the world, it is vital that we hold fast to the values of compassion, dignity, and respect for all. Our foremost thoughts are with the individuals, families, and Jewish communities in London and across the country who have been directly impacted by todayβs unacceptable violence.
We affirm our commitment to the principles of peace, justice, and the protection of human rights. We recognise that moments such as these can give rise to fear, division, and misunderstanding, and we urge care in both action and language in the days and months ahead.
We also call for clarity, accountability, and responsible reporting, so that truth may be established with integrity and without unnecessary harm. In doing so, we emphasise a fundamental principle: no person should be targeted, attacked, or made to feel unsafeβeither in their daily lives or in their places of worshipβbecause of their religious beliefs.
We encourage all to respond with thoughtfulness, solidarity, and compassion; to support those in need; and to uphold the shared humanity that connects us all.
