🤝 National Inclusion Week 2026: Reasonable Adjustments
Did you know you can ask your GP practice for reasonable adjustments?
The Equality Act 2010 requires all health and social care organisations, including GP surgeries, to remove the barriers disabled people face, so that using health services is just as easy for disabled people as it is for anyone else.

Reasonable adjustments can look like:
✅ Extra time during appointments
✅ Information provided in an easy-to-understand format
✅ Support from an interpreter or communication aid
✅ A calmer space to wait, away from the main area
✅ Letters or appointment details in an accessible format
✅ Having a carer, relative, or advocate join you

If any of this sounds like it could help you, please let your GP practice know. Sharing your needs means staff can make sure the right support is in place whenever you need NHS care.
Building trust starts with listening. Let's navigate this together.

Pulmonary awareness month – Tie in with lung checks

🩵 September is Pulmonary Fibrosis Awareness Month 🩵

Pulmonary fibrosis is a serious lung condition that causes scarring of the lungs, making it increasingly difficult to breathe.

This month, we are raising awareness, support those living with the condition, and recognise the importance of research, early diagnosis, and compassionate care.

Every breath matters.
