Today we have taken on trip and gone on a virtual cruise to India, learning lots of interesting facts about the country and its culture. We then all enjoyed a very tasty Indian themed menu for lunch.
Lots of the residents and staff also enjoyed trying some henna art which has been a real talking point for everyone today.

We got our hats out,our sun cream on and enjoyed getting out and about together with two bus trips this week to comeston lake.
Enjoying the good weather, seeing the ducks, spotting all the big fish and of course enjoying very tasty coffee and cake ☀️🦆🐟☕️🍰

We're all having a lovely afternoon in the garden enjoying ice lollies and using our Merlin app to see what birds we can hear around us 🍦🐦☀️

We have taken the difficult decision to cancel Summer Garden Party tomorrow due to the weather forecast and extreme heatwave expected.

The residents will still have a fun day inside in the cool (with air conditioning) with nice food and entertainment.

We are sure you understand why we have made this decision.
The raffle will still be drawn on Saturday and normal visits to the home can go ahead.

Unfortunately, we cannot invite relatives to the entertainment due to space and heat so please avoid Middle Floor Lounge between 2pm to 3pm

We would like to say a very big thank you to the lovely ladies and gentlemen from local choir Criw Canu Penarth who joined us last night for a evening and singing both welsh and english songs, you were fantastic.
We all really enjoyed joining in and lots of laughter. Hope you will join us again soon
