Today is National Rainforest day- and last night I went to see the 99p Films screening of ‘No Trees No Sees’ created by Plant One and collaborators. The setting was the beautiful Cabilla Cornwall within Cornwall’s own temperate rainforest. We also walked in the forest and learnt about the vital ‘Flow-scape’ and interdependence of our forests and seas health, and indeed our own existence! With the incoming heatwave, do look for some shade under a tree (it should be 10 degrees cooler) or better still plant one! I’d encourage anyone to go see and learn from this inspiring film if you can. 99p Films makes this affordable for everyone.

Yesterday- World Earth Day🌎, was an apt day to co-host a showing of The Peoples Emergency Briefing in my community- Perranporth. As a member of PACE (Perranzabuloe Action for the Climate Emergency),

A whole spectrum of people attended, including our local MP, Perran Moon who publicly committed to pushing for a National televised showing in parliament 👏🏼💚

The briefing is bite size look at the current impact and evidence from experts in their fields on topics such as:

🌧️ Extreme weather
🍞 Food security
🏥 Health
💷 Cost of living
🚨National security
📈 Tipping points

This is a must watch for EVERYONE. There is so much good work and support going on in local communities for resiliance in these areas which is an essential part of preparedness and adaptation.
