​One of our incredibly talented residents has been busy putting pencil to paper, capturing this stunning portrait from a magazine feature. The detail, the focus, and the pure joy of creating something beautiful never fade.

​Art has such a wonderful way of bringing calm, focus, and expression to the day. We are endlessly proud of the hidden (and not-so-hidden!) talents within our community.

Honouring Choice: The Quiet Side of Connection

​Care isn't always about the big events or the loudest cheers in the lounge. True, person-centred care is rooted in respecting the right to choose, which includes the choice not to join in.

​For some, a busy activity schedule can feel overwhelming rather than engaging. While we always offer the invitation, we must also value the "no." Declining a group activity isn't a failure of engagement—it’s an expression of individuality.

​Meaning in the Small Moments
​Making meaningful connections doesn't require an audience. Sometimes, the most profound impact happens in the quiet spaces:

​The One-to-One: A 15-minute chat over a coffee in someone's own room, surrounded by their personal photos and comforts.

​A Change of Scenery: Sharing lunch in a quiet corner of the garden or a peaceful nook, away from the hustle and bustle.

​The Silent Presence: Simply sitting together for a few moments, acknowledging their presence without the pressure to "perform" or participate.

There is something truly special about how life at Perran Bay continues to grow into one big, supportive family. ❤️

​After a lovely morning chat, we decided to wrap up warm and head out into the drizzle for a coastal adventure. We took a scenic drive around the coast and through the charming village of Crantock, eventually settling in at the Bowgie Inn. There’s nothing quite like a warm drink and a good chat while watching the big waves roll in!

​The highlight of the day was seeing two residents get to know each other for the first time. They were delighted to discover they were both born in the same area—it’s amazing how these connections bring us all closer together. To top it all off, the clouds parted, the sun came out, and the coast looked absolutely beautiful. 🌊☕☀

​Moments like these remind us that we aren't just a care home; we are a family.

🐾 We had the most wonderful visit to Paws and Purrs Cat Cafe on the beautiful Bodmin Moor. It was so special to spend the time together at this wonderful place.
​From enjoying a delicious lunch to getting plenty of cuddles from the resident cats, our hearts are full! 🐱 And the surprises didn't stop there; we even got to visit the farm’s adorable goats and alpacas. A perfect way to recharge and connect with some wonderful animals. Highly recommend a trip if you’re looking for a dose of joy! 🐐✨

📣 Exciting News for Perranporth: Introducing St Piran Community Care!

​We are thrilled to announce the launch of St Piran Community Care, a new initiative dedicated to supporting our local neighbours right here in the Perranporth area.
​Starting this April, we will begin offering assistance with domestic duties—helping you or your loved ones keep things running smoothly at home with a friendly, local touch.

​🏠 Growing to Meet Your Needs
​While we start with domestic support, we are currently in the process of registration with the Care Quality Commission to expand our services. Very soon, we look forward to providing full personal care to ensure our community members can stay comfortable, safe, and independent in their own homes.

​🏆 Excellence in Our DNA
​We aren't doing this alone. St Piran Community Care is proud to launch in association with Perran Bay Care Home—recent winners of the Care Provider of the Year (2025).
