πŸ’™ Keeping our teams prepared, confident and ready to respond πŸ’™

Over the last week, three members of the Bursting with Potential and Bursting with Adventure team have either completed or refreshed their Paediatric First Aid training.

Whether supporting children in therapy, alternative provision, holiday clubs or community activities, the safety and wellbeing of the children and young people we work with is always our priority.

As part of our commitment to high-quality practice, members of our therapy team, alternative provision team and holiday club team are offered Paediatric First Aid training as part of their role, ensuring staff have the knowledge and confidence to respond appropriately in an emergency.

A huge thank you to our team for continually investing in their professional development and for helping us maintain safe, supportive environments where children can learn, play and thrive. ⭐

Why do therapy services cost different amounts?

We completely understand that families compare prices when looking for therapy support. In today's economic climate, value matters.

You may notice that some independent/solo therapists charge less than we do, and that's absolutely their choice. Many excellent therapists work independently and provide fantastic support.

However, our service is built differently.

At **Bursting with Potential**, families aren't just accessing one therapist for one hour a week. They are accessing the benefits of an experienced multidisciplinary team, dedicated clinic facilities, established systems, ongoing professional development and the reassurance that comes with a well-supported service.

Our fees help us maintain:

🏒 **Two dedicated clinic locations**, creating consistent, child-friendly environments with specialist equipment and resources.

πŸ‘©β€βš•οΈ **A team of therapists and support staff**, meaning families benefit from shared knowledge, clinical discussion, cover during absences, and access to a wider range of expertise.

πŸ“š **Continual professional development**, supervision and quality assurance to ensure our practice remains current, evidence-informed and neurodiversity-affirming.

🀝 **Collaboration and teamwork**, allowing us to problem-solve complex situations together and provide more holistic support for children and young people.

πŸ“ **The work that happens beyond the appointment**, including planning, liaison with families and schools, report writing, record keeping, safeguarding and clinical governance.

βœ… **Robust systems and compliance**, including insurance, data protection, safeguarding processes and all of the behind-the-scenes administration that helps keep services safe, effective and sustainable.

One of the biggest advantages of a team-based service is continuity. If a therapist is unwell, on maternity leave or taking annual leave, families are not left without support. There is a wider network of professionals, knowledge and systems around them.

We know there are cheaper options available, and we genuinely believe families should choose the service that feels right for them. Price is only one part of the picture.

When considering therapy support, it can be helpful to ask:

β€’ What experience and qualifications am I paying for?
β€’ What support exists behind the therapist?
β€’ How are safeguarding and clinical governance managed?
β€’ What happens if my therapist is unavailable?
β€’ How much direct and indirect work is included?
β€’ Will this service be able to grow and adapt with my child's needs?

For us, therapy has never been about delivering a single session. It's about providing high-quality, sustainable support that helps children, young people and families thrive.

πŸ’™ We are incredibly grateful to every family who trusts us to be part of their journey.πŸ’™

When comparing therapy services, don't just ask what the session costs. Ask what sits behind it.

πŸ’™ Qualified professionals. πŸ’™ Clinical support. πŸ’™ Dedicated clinics. πŸ’™ A team around your family.

πŸ’› Why we include training days

You may notice we are closed for 3 days at the start of the summer holidays (20th, 22nd and 24th July)

We want to be transparent about why πŸ‘‡

These days allow us to:
βœ” Fully induct new staff
βœ” Update training (safeguarding, SEND, regulation support)
βœ” Ensure all staff are consistent in their approach

While we aim to stay open as much as possible (and we are open almost all summer, 6 days a week), these days are critical to maintaining:
✨ Safety
✨ Quality
✨ Consistency for your child

βœ… Throughout most of the summer holidays
βœ… During September INSET days

🌞 Summer Holiday Provision – We’re Open!

We’re really pleased to share that we are open for nearly the entire summer holidays πŸ™Œ

βœ… Open 6 days a week (including Saturdays)
βœ… Only closed for:
β€’ 3 days in Week 1 (staff training & induction)
β€’ Bank Holiday
βœ… We also remain open for September INSET days

We know how limited SEND provision can be during holidays, so we’ve planned our offer to provide as much flexibility as we can.

πŸ“… Why the 3-day closure?
These days are essential for:
βœ” Staff induction (so all team members understand each child’s needs)
βœ” Training (safeguarding, regulation, SEND approaches)
βœ” Ensuring consistent, safe, high-quality support

This means your child is supported by a team who are prepared, confident, and working in a consistent way πŸ’›

We have spaces for privately funded, Short Breaks and HAF funded (Peterborough) sessions. Spaces are limited so please book in soon to guarantee a space.

We accept tax free childcare payments, childcare vouchers, direct payments or short breaks funding including prepay cards and can provide evidence for parents claiming back up to 85% through UC.
