Why do therapy services cost different amounts?
We completely understand that families compare prices when looking for therapy support. In today's economic climate, value matters.
You may notice that some independent/solo therapists charge less than we do, and that's absolutely their choice. Many excellent therapists work independently and provide fantastic support.
However, our service is built differently.
At **Bursting with Potential**, families aren't just accessing one therapist for one hour a week. They are accessing the benefits of an experienced multidisciplinary team, dedicated clinic facilities, established systems, ongoing professional development and the reassurance that comes with a well-supported service.
Our fees help us maintain:
π’ **Two dedicated clinic locations**, creating consistent, child-friendly environments with specialist equipment and resources.
π©ββοΈ **A team of therapists and support staff**, meaning families benefit from shared knowledge, clinical discussion, cover during absences, and access to a wider range of expertise.
π **Continual professional development**, supervision and quality assurance to ensure our practice remains current, evidence-informed and neurodiversity-affirming.
π€ **Collaboration and teamwork**, allowing us to problem-solve complex situations together and provide more holistic support for children and young people.
π **The work that happens beyond the appointment**, including planning, liaison with families and schools, report writing, record keeping, safeguarding and clinical governance.
β
**Robust systems and compliance**, including insurance, data protection, safeguarding processes and all of the behind-the-scenes administration that helps keep services safe, effective and sustainable.
One of the biggest advantages of a team-based service is continuity. If a therapist is unwell, on maternity leave or taking annual leave, families are not left without support. There is a wider network of professionals, knowledge and systems around them.
We know there are cheaper options available, and we genuinely believe families should choose the service that feels right for them. Price is only one part of the picture.
When considering therapy support, it can be helpful to ask:
β’ What experience and qualifications am I paying for?
β’ What support exists behind the therapist?
β’ How are safeguarding and clinical governance managed?
β’ What happens if my therapist is unavailable?
β’ How much direct and indirect work is included?
β’ Will this service be able to grow and adapt with my child's needs?
For us, therapy has never been about delivering a single session. It's about providing high-quality, sustainable support that helps children, young people and families thrive.
π We are incredibly grateful to every family who trusts us to be part of their journey.π
When comparing therapy services, don't just ask what the session costs. Ask what sits behind it.
π Qualified professionals. π Clinical support. π Dedicated clinics. π A team around your family.
