Winter feels like it’s miles away right now, but I’ve always loved this time of year because it reminds us that change is already happening quietly in the background.
We are well past the summer solstice now, and the days are slowly beginning to shift. Before we know it, we’ll be entering that beautiful season of slower mornings, cosy evenings and a bit more cwtch.
I think we often look at winter as something to endure, but there is so much wisdom in the quieter months. It’s a chance to slow down, reflect on where we are, reconnect with ourselves and make space for the things that truly matter.
For me, this is why preparing for winter starts now.
Not by waiting until we feel burnt out or disconnected, but by building the practices, routines and connections that help us move through the season feeling grounded.
The seasons are always changing, and we are part of that rhythm too.
If you’re looking for ways to reconnect with yourself, slow down and embrace the months ahead, take a look at my retreats, courses and other wellbeing offerings at my website through my page.
Autumn and winter can be a beautiful time. We just have to give ourselves permission to experience it.
