In the latest government breastfeeding survey (2024)..
🥛 "Of the mothers who would have liked to breastfeed for longer, the most frequently reported factor that would have helped them was if their baby could have latched on to the breast more easily (53%)." 🥛
Whilst the need to feed is instinctual for babies, babies, just like mums often need to learn to feed. It's a bit like riding a bike, at first it's tricky but with the correct support and guidance, it becomes manageable and soon you'll be free wheeling! 🚲 ✈️
🙌 At Moat Breastfeeding we support mums every week in week out to breastfeed their babies. We listen to you, understand what your goals for breastfeeding are. If we can't help you, we will point you in the direction of someone who can. We work with health visitors and midwives to achieve the best results for you and your baby.
🤰 Come to us when you're pregnant to see feeding first hand and chat to the other friendly mums about what to expect and learn what is normal. This way we won't be strangers in the room once you've had your baby, we will just be friendly faces willing to help and that way things won't seem so daunting!
👶 Of course if you have already given birth we will be ready to listen and watch and provide tweaks (if needs be) to get that position just right so that you can have an easy ride of feeding.
🤚 Social media provides so much information but nothing replaces tailored support for you and your baby.
