Rotherham Safe Space is partnering with Fortia Insight to host a friendly, informal community conversation about young people, community safety, and life in Boston Castle.

We’re looking for local people aged 18+ to come along and share their experiences and perspectives on:

🏘️ Life in the local neighbourhood
πŸ’¬ Opportunities for young people
🀝 What helps communities thrive
πŸ’š What makes the community feel safe

Your views will contribute to national research exploring how UK Government investment in youth activities can support stronger, safer communities.

Our September timetable is here! We’ve got another month of support, groups and opportunities to connect with others in a safe and welcoming space.

πŸ—£οΈ Monday – Mental Health Discussion Group 7pm–8:30pm

This month we’ll be talking about:

🌱 14th – Hope and Mental Health
πŸ”„ 21st – Change and Mental Health
πŸ’œ 28th – Self-Care and Mental Health

β˜• Thursday – The Social Brew | 7pm–8:30pm
🎨 Saturday – Arts & Crafts | 7pm–8:30pm

We also have a special Share Your Story Social Brew on Thursday 10th September, creating space for open conversations and lived experiences.

Please take a look at the calendar for our opening days and times, including the dates when the service will be closed.

πŸ’œ Remember, crisis and emotional support is still available even on group evenings. You don’t have to attend a group to access support.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Rotherham Safe Space will be closed for face-to-face support this evening.

Our team will still be available virtually, and our phone lines will remain open as usual from 6:00pm until midnight.

Fancy a chat and a brew? Join us for Social Brew on 10th September at Rotherham Safe Space 🍡

If you've visited Rotherham Safe Space, we'd love to hear your story too, but it's entirely optional.

We're making a video for World Mental Health Day in October to share the importance of lived experience. If you'd be comfortable sharing yours, we'd love to hear it.

You won't appear on camera unless you're happy to, and you don't need to answer every question, just whatever feels right.

- Can you tell us about your mental health journey?
- What made you visit Rotherham Safe Space?
- Would you recommend this service to others who are struggling with their mental health?

Come along on 10th September, whether you're there to share your story or just for the brew.

 ⚠️ Service Update ⚠️

We sincerely apologise, but Rotherham Safe Space will also be offering virtual and telephone support only this evening. Unfortunately, face-to-face support will remain closed tonight.

Our phone lines will be open as usual from 6:00pm until midnight.

We will be back to business as usual tomorrow evening, with face-to-face support available again from 6:00pm.
