Happy Monday ❤️
Just a little post about fleas 😩
Looks like it’s that time of year again
Every day last week I had to send dogs home after finding fleas on them .. this is a massive inconvenience for our day not only do we loose money we also then have to stop everything to deep clean before bringing new clients in - we cannot risk passing them onto other doggies or take them home on our clothes to our own doggies ! Anyone booked in for a groom please check through their coats thoroughly before coming and make sure they have been treated against infestation anyone turning up with fleas will still be charged the full price of the groom as I lost over £200 last week I can’t justify it .
it also seems treatment containing fiprinol isn’t always working .. I think fleas are becoming immune to it I’ve seen many treated with this chemical and still having fleas , there are lots of treatments out there that don’t kill fleas also ( many of the cheap ones ) they just repel not kill the flea , any one needs any help or advice just give me a shout ❤️
If you notice a dog licking or scratching more it’s probably a good sign they have little visitors
A good place to check is tummy under the legs area as you can see more in that area and base of tail is a good place to check too .. and brown dots in the fur is probably flea dirt that’s a good indicator
Many thanks the Furnominal team ###
