💙 Carers Week – 8th–14th June 💙
This week, we recognise and celebrate the incredible contribution of carers in our community.
Carers provide vital support to family members, friends, and loved ones—often balancing this alongside work, family life, and their own health. Their dedication, compassion, and resilience make a huge difference every single day.
✨ This year, let’s put carers first.
âś… Take time to recognise and thank a carer
âś… Check in on their wellbeing
âś… Help them access support and services
âś… Raise awareness of the challenges carers face
💙 If you are a carer, please know that you are valued and appreciated. You are not alone—support is available.
Let’s work together to make sure carers feel seen, supported, and recognised—not just this week, but all year round.

💙 Diabetes Awareness Week – 8th–14th June 💙
This year’s message is simple but powerful:
👉 Let’s change how we talk about diabetes
Words matter. The way we talk about diabetes can affect how people living with the condition feel about themselves, their care, and their confidence.
Diabetes is complex. It’s not just about lifestyle or choices—it’s a medical condition that requires support, understanding, and compassion.
✨ Let’s work together to:
• Use supportive, non-judgemental language
• Move away from blame and stigma
• Encourage open conversations
• Support those living with diabetes
💙 Whether you are living with diabetes, caring for someone, or simply learning more—your understanding can make a real difference.
Together, we can create a more supportive and informed community.

❤️ British Heart Foundation Week – 7th–15th June ❤️
This week, we’re supporting the British Heart Foundation and raising awareness of heart and circulatory diseases—conditions that affect millions of people across the UK.
đź’™ Heart health matters, and small changes can make a big difference.
You can help protect your heart by: âś… Staying active
âś… Eating a balanced diet
âś… Stopping smoking
âś… Keeping a healthy weight
âś… Having regular blood pressure and cholesterol checks
Every step you take towards a healthier lifestyle supports your heart ❤️
Let’s take this week as a reminder to look after ourselves and those around us.

💚 National Tourette’s Awareness Month 💚
This month, we’re raising awareness of Tourette’s Syndrome—a neurological condition that affects people of all ages and backgrounds.
Tourette’s is often misunderstood. It involves involuntary movements and sounds called tics, and no two people experience it in the same way. For many, it can impact daily life, confidence, and wellbeing.
✨ Awareness makes a difference.
By learning more and challenging misconceptions, we can help create a more understanding and inclusive community.
âś… How you can help:
• Be patient and understanding
• Avoid drawing attention to tics
• Educate yourself and others
• Support those living with Tourette’s
💙 Let’s work together to promote acceptance, reduce stigma, and support those affected.

💙 World Hypertension Day – 17th May 💙
High blood pressure (hypertension) is often called the “silent killer” because it usually has no symptoms, yet it significantly increases the risk of heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, and other serious health problems.
📊 Did you know?
Many people with high blood pressure don’t know they have it. Regular blood pressure checks are one of the simplest ways to protect your long-term health.
âś… You can help reduce your risk by:

Having your blood pressure checked regularly
Eating a balanced diet and reducing salt intake
Staying physically active
Maintaining a healthy weight
Avoiding smoking and limiting alcohol
Managing stress and getting enough sleep

📅 This 17th May, take a moment to check your blood pressure—or encourage someone you care about to do the same. Small changes can make a big difference.
🩺 Know your numbers. Control your blood pressure. Protect your heart.

📞✨ Happy National Receptionist Day – May 13th! ✨📞

Today, we celebrate the friendly faces and welcoming voices who keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. From the first hello to the final goodbye, receptionists are the heartbeat of every organisation—organised, patient, and always ready to help.

A special thank you to our Patient Advisors, who work at the front line of healthcare every day. Managing high call volumes, supporting patients with care and compassion, and balancing urgent needs with limited time is no easy task. Your resilience, empathy, and professionalism make a real difference to so many people.

We know experiences can vary, but today is about recognising the people doing their best in often very challenging situations. Kindness and respect go a long way đź’™

Thank you for your dedication and the positive energy you bring every single day. You truly make a difference!
