Do you feel you have to earn a rest?
Do you save it up for weekends and holidays?
Are you pushing yourself all day until you collapse on the sofa, drink in hand, relaxing but not refreshed?
In our culture it seems we donāt value rest unless weāve earned it by being busy, or sporty or working hard.
Many of us are under-slept so are chronically tired. Even after a good nights sleep we donāt always wake refreshed.
So one answer is to practice rest every day.
To schedule it in, like you would any appointment.
To invite yourself to make a little space in your day, in a quiet part of a room, where you can lie down, on your back, knees bent and head supported on something firm - like a small pile of paperback books. Supporting your head bone, gives the message the neck and back muscles can release tension.
Iāve written more about this in my new eBook and am giving away the first 3 Days of 21 and have a bonus gift for you too.
What if Ease is a skill you can Learn? is my new 21 Days with Alexander that Iāve written for you to learn how you might begin to understand your body better.
